This, definitely. I just started using Preston as a companion post-main ending. He's actually a good shot, which is especially useful for a melee character. I don't like it when just automatically assigns quests for me, though.

One time after having ignored him for 50 hours, i went to talk to him and he was so backed up that i got like 5 - 6 quests from him. Sigh, Preston! Maybe i am just bad at managing settlements, but he never shuts up.

i ignore him from the get go, as in as soon as all r back @Sanctuary.

accomplishing the settlements on my own time & simply ignoring Preston.

tip: you can back away from his conversation if he manages to start one, and he'll go about his business of patrolling.

then you can chat him up to get the Castle started, and then just leave him to his business again.

worked well for me.

got all the settlements done, and in my own time.

rarely bothered by attacks/radiants as well.

I also don't understand why some terminals can be activated while you are in power armor and some cannot.

Unlocking security doors with terminals also takes wayyy to long sometimes.

Oh! Thought of one more:

I would greatly appreciate an opacity slider for container windows. Right now, when I open a container in a brightly lit area, it is really difficult to read either my inventory or the contents of the container. If one of the windows ends up being over a light area, such as a pavement at midday, it can be darn-near impossible. Having light green text on a medium green, translucent background isn't a good idea. I wish I could darken the background (or perhaps even make it solid black) for more contrast.

Same goes for the Pip-boy, in certain situations. If I open the Pip-Boy in an area where a bright light is shining behind me or over my shoulder, it causes a glare on the Pip-Boy's screen, making it extraordinarily difficult to read.

I hope these make it into the next update, Yellow!
