Njada mysteriously dead

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 8:40 pm

I went downstairs in Jorrvaskr to speak to Farkas about a quest when I noticed that Njada Stonearm was lying dead on the floor, beside a bed.

Has this happened to anyone else? This looks like the beginning of some murder mystery.

As it looks like she's expendable, I'll carry on. This is the first time that I've walked upon the corpse of a fellow companion, that isn't a quest related death and it seems totally random.

Hmm, not sure why she would turn up dead all of a sudden, it has not happened to me. She trains you on a particular skill I think it is one handed or block but other than that she is expendable.

You on PC? You can always 'resurrect' her with the console.

Xbox 360 here. She's a block trainer, but that skill doesn't need training.

Perhaps it was something that she ate? Maybe she stabbed herself while sleeping with her weapons still equipped (like most npcs).

I wonder, can NPCs trip on a bucket to their death, or is it reserved for the Dovahkiin?

Maybe someone grew tired of her hostile attitude.
Or maybe that attitude was due to a depression that finally caused her to kill herself.

The Greymanes had her poisoned, because she is an imperial.

I've found the drunk and the elf dead outside, in the "workout" area of Jorrvaskr. On that same character, Skjor came back to life. Even though I'm the Harbinger, he still called me a "whelp."

She's kind of a b**** so is it really a mystery? The real mystery is why is Nazeem still alive?

Seriously though: that's really weird. I could see outside like a dragon did it, but 2 cells away from outside?

Njada? No, she's Nord, I think, isn't she? Ria's Imperial.

Then obviously Skjor did it. He's jeaous of the still living. :P
Anyone tried to kill Dead Skjor? I'm thinking of it (GOD he's annoying!) but I don't know what to do with the body. Don't want it lying around. Maybe if I managed to turn him into a sweetroll...?

Heh, so far on my mage he hasn't turned up, nor are any of the Companions dead, yet I encounter them all over the place in Skyrim. There is one thing that's weird, though. Farkas has been stuck in werewolf form ever since the Proving Honor quest. Every time I enter Jorrvaskr there's a thunderclap and there he is, with that hang-dog expression. Never has any work for me, and yet I did cure him of his lycanthropy. He never leaves the environs of Jorrvaskr, so far as I know, and nobody else notices his condition. I'm not sure if I can have him as a follower, either. I should try it, though.

That was my thought.

Everyone was asleep in their beds right next to her corpse, so it didn't look like anyone was too concerned, or at least in any great hurry to deal with her body.

There is an entry on UESP about dead Njada. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:Njada_Stonearm

You are not alone in seeing this. Unless you are the one who made the wiki entry. :)
