L.A. Noire

How did they handle the DLC cases? I haven't been able to play the Ps3 exclusive case or my preorder bonus because of the PS Store being down. How do you play them once you've passed their place in the story?

Their probably available from the case selection menu that's accessible from the main menu.

Just played for about 2 hours and I'm currently up to the "A marriage made in heaven" case.

So far I'm really enjoying the game, although I've encountered a few graphical and sound glitches which are pretty annoying.
I also think the control layout wasn't well thought out.
And the driving physics are too touchy

They're the only complaints...

It was great! There are a few unique things about it that set it apart from other cases.

I really don't think its a good marketing practice to sell these cases individually. You can burn through them in less than an hour if you're fluent enough. I think it'd be cool to down a DLC that adds 1 case to each desk.

My biggest issue with the control scheme is the whole right trigger deal. Nobody EVER uses the right trigger to sprint...Cole isn't a car the last time I checked.

Speaking of cars, right shoulder to hand break is kind of wacky.

It's even worse on Ps3. Our "trigger" is very awkward to use for extended periods of time.

Heavy Rain used the right trigger to walk/run. I had just replayed Heavy Rain before I played LA Noire, so I was kinda used to the right trigger deal.

Heavy Rain was a PS3 exclusive. But I can see where you're coming from as many critics said it had a very Heavy-rainish narrative.

Just got the Magpie trophy(finding 95% of all clues) and now I only have a few more cases to reach 5 stars with. I really hated the homicide cases. They were very repetitive and boring.

Got a few questions. Was I supposed to receive a trophy for finding all the newspapers because I do not think i received it.
A trophy for killing bad-guys with every weapon. I have Pistol, M1grand, Thompson (or was it Tommy-gun), BAR, and flamethrower. What am i missing?
How did the police found out about Cole's affairs? Was it Roy?

  • No achievement/trophy for all newspapers
  • Is the m1grand a shotgun? If so, you haven't listed the shotgun
  • It was Roy. The newspapers aid in this.

Remember that talk about some controversy centering around the vice squad and one of it's members (maybe a former member, don't remember) being the reason behind the controversy? Well basically, the city purposefully leaked the story about your affair and charged you with advltery to remove the previous scandal from the headlines.
