The sad thing is I'm buying it off e bay that weekend so I'll probably still have to wait an extra 1-2 weeks. *sob*

Head on over to http://www.thefedoralounge.com/ and pull up a bar stool. Best place on teh webs for the connoisseur of fine classic garments :disguise:

I'm signing up. I can't possibly handle there being a society of fedora lovers without me in it :hubbahubba:

I WAS going to head to gamestop and pick up my game tonight at midnight but I have a final at 10:00 am. So I have to pick it up after my exam. It feels so weird buying two new games in two weeks. I've never done it before, but I beat Brink way too fast and LA Noire is going to have a long story so I'm excited.

More reviews just in

The scores are a bit disappointing, but I don't care. I know I'll love it.

Yea, IGN gave it an 8.5 and said

"I struggle with L.A. Noire, because at times I love it, yet it has some notable flaws. As a noir fan, I find moments that really get me grinning. There are certain cases that draw me in and side characters who eat up the scene. But it never adds up --amazing pieces that don’t quite amount to an incredible game."

Sounds ike a good, yet uneven, journey.

I think scores of 8.5 and 8.75 are pretty good. But this concerns me, especially the underlined part:

Ten cases in, I knew what to expect. I come to a crime scene and search for some clues that then open one or two new locations in L.A. to investigate. From there, I know I'll end up chasing someone on foot through the back-alleys of the city or through the streets in my car. All this leads to a final interview with a suspect in the police station interview room, where even screwing up completely still leads to an arrest. I might think the guy's innocent, but except on rare occasions, I'm just going through the motions and have no control over the end result.

The repetitive missions in the first Assassin's Creed killed it for me. I'm going to wait for more feedback before I buy it.

Yes, I know I'm cutting this one a bit close. :P But I want the extra case.

Yeah same here, I dont trust anyone's opinion on video games except my own, I have played what I consider all around solid games (Darkest of Days, Brothers in Arms HH, Operation Flashpoint DR) only to see them get horrible reviews by others mainly because poor multiplayer or lack thereof, but I'm a singleplayer gamer all the way :D

Just preorderd this game yesterday but probably wont be able to play it until wednesday since I've got Police Explorers training every tuesday night...darn! And whats this whole "Naked City" dealio? Is it what it sounds like? A city of naked people?

Agreed, especially of BIA:HH. BIA is one of my favorite series.

This is what I wanted to hear. http://www.gamesradar.com/ps3/la-noire/review/la-noire-review/a-2011051693529489014/g-2006092512588826087/p-3

Obviously I can't take anyone's word for it. I'll just have to find out Friday.

Nice review. They also said the PS3 version has the clear edge.
