It is a joint production between Australian developer Team Bondi and Rockstar Games, makers of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. You play WWII vet turned LAPD cop Cole Phelps, and you unravel criminal mysteries in the dark city of 1940s LA.

Anyone other than me watching a bunch of crime thrillers and noirs before L.A. Noire? I'd basically seen every noir in existence already so I watched a bunch of crime thrillers I had yet to see like Rififi or Suddenly (Sinatra movie about a psycho who is trying to kill the president.)

I've been watching a ton of noir movies. There's a lot of great one's that I'd probably never seen if it weren't for this game. Same for RDR, watched a lot of Westerns. Thank you Rockstar for making great games and introducing me to great movies!

Agh! I've just found out that a series of inconvenient circumstances won't let me play the game until late Tuesday night. Its not too bad, but its going to be frustrating knowing the game is sitting at home, waiting, but being unable to play it.
