Non Dagon/Deadlands daedra?

Post » Sat Dec 25, 2010 6:25 pm

In oblivion all we saw were Dagon's daedra. It wasn't till Shivering Isles we saw non-deadlands oblivion, and non-deadlands daedra with Golden Saints, seducers, and knights of orders (question: since they are native to shivering isles, are the critters like grummites and elytra also daedra?). Since there are plenty of daedric realms, seems like there should be a larger variety of daedra. Also, I'd like to see an expansion of the realms of oblivion in general. A few of the daedric quests should briefly send you into oblivion, and they should actually be unique realms (I'm looking at you Peyrite).

Basically, more daedra that are recognizable to belong to a certain daedric lord. It doesn't matter if Dagon has the biggest assortment, I'd just like to see some from every realm. Also, perk tress in conjuration for Nature/Necrocmancy/Dagon Daedra/Other Daedra

There is a book basically telling which Daedra belong to which Daedric Prince. Dremora's and Scamps are Dagon's. Molag Bal's are Daedroth. Malacath's are Ogrims. Azura's are Winged Twilights (Dark Seducers?). And some more I can't recall at the top of my head.
Boethia's are Hunger. Mephala's are Spider Daedra.

He doesn't have the biggest assortment. Daedric Princes use each others lesser Daedra a lot. Scamps will serve pretty much anyone, including mortals, sometimes. As Shadow28 pointed out, some of the ones we saw in the Deadlands belonged to other Daedric Princes.

It would be a TON of work though to include completely new textures and meshes and everything just for a quest or two in a new realm of Oblivion.

Also, from the descriptions, Peryite's realm sounds A LOT like the Deadlands, so I was willing to forgive that. Boethia's doesn't though.

Basically, almost all the Daedra in existence (in TES) are in Oblivion. With the exception of the Vermai, Daedra Seducers, Hernes, Morphoid Daedra, and the one's in Morrowind. Can't really just create a Daedra overnight, can you? It'd be nice if they included all the Daedra from past games, but I have a feeling that'd get annoying.

And some Daedra, like Clannfear, are believed to be unassigned, if you will, with no allegiaence to any particular Prince, but found in "the wild" throughout many planes of Oblivion.

I MOST DESIRE TO SEE THE LESSER DAEDRA ALLIED TO SANGUINE!!!

I also am very fond of The Dremora, The Aureal and The Mazkan. The Dremora were not always aligned with Dagon, and it is implied that the Aureal and Mazkan have not always served Sheogorath, but the details of when, where and how various lesser Daedra made the pacts which brought them into the service and protection of the Princes is uncertain. Maybe more will be revealed in the more obscure reaches of Skyrim sidequests. I would imagine that one will likely find more Daedra in the parts of Skyrim that border Morrowind and Highrock, where Magicka, Sorcery and Daedric Cults are far more common.

Azura's are Winged Twilights (Dark Seducers?)

Winged Twilights are not Dark Seducers. They are basically dark bluish colored women with winged arms that enable them flight.

There is some uncertainty about this. There are beings reffered to specifically as Dark Seducers in earlier ES Games. It raises questions about the actual loyalties, divided loyalties, and varied personal agenda of the many lesser Daedra, and there are simply many questions which are without definite answers as of yet.

Very doubtful. By now I imagine they've all receded back into the Madhouse like Jyggalag to Sheogorath.

Yeah I remember them from Morrowind, but they look uncannily like Dark Seducers from Shivering Isles. Though I never remember them flying in Morrowind. Rather curious as to the relation of Winged Twilights to Dark Seducers, Golden Saints are in Morrowind and Shivering Isles, and then 2 creatures that look quite similar to each other, and neither are in a game with each other, unless they are in a game prior to Morrowind.

Yet that cycle is supposed to be broken. And, whatever the reason, The Knights of Order are supposedly something other than Daedra.

we have yet to see the minions of Peryite, Vaermina (nightmare one), Namira, Sanguine, and Hermaeus Mora.

Also, the seducers seem to be in the position of atranaches, in that they're unaligned. We saw them work for Nocturnal during Battlespire, along with a lot of them switching sides to Mehrunes Dagon and wreck Nocturnal's home a bit. We also see them in SI.

Hmm, the Daedric Prince that stands out there is Hermaeus Mora. I'd assume Peryite's'd be about the same as Dagon's. Vaermina's of course would be terrifying, too much I'd imagine for Bethesda to accurately make. Namira's would be rather gross. Sanguine's would be giggity. But Hermaeus Mora? What would it's Daedra be? Tempted to make the Cthulhu reference...

Maybe just little realms for each Prince, about the size of an oblivion gate and you can do a quest there or just a house or something to talk to them. Just so we can get a glimpse of what all the realms look like. Would be nice to revist Shivering Isles and get some madness or Amber weapons. But that's all wishful thinking. Maybe DLC or mod.
