Non-equipped Loot Appearance

Don't care as I play from the 1st person perspective so I would see it to appreciate it anyway (sorry!).

You would still see it if NPCs used it...

You know, that would make the idea useful too. You could look at an NPC and possibly be able to tell that they have a certain backup weapon, or some potions that they might use in the midst of battle, so you could plan accordingly...

Genius :D I only just realized that as well. Weapon layering would be such a rad feature.

Like the others, I didn't even think of this, and I'm the OP. Sad. Anywho, I think it would be great. For tactical purposes, and just eye-candy. How cool would it be to see the exact look-a-like of the concept art guy walking around in full gear? Makes me smile, it does.

well personally i think it would be best to have a pack or bag of some sort and just show weapons and armor on the character... other non equipped things could be held in your pack which could be shown on the character

If you have 5 of the same sword their should be only one visible and the same with other objects you dont have to have 60 sword retreating out of your lower bowel to do this

and an unknown weapon against his left thigh.

Actually, that looks like the sheath for the sword he's holding

Good catch. I should have worded it better, and said "object". But either way, we know what it is now.

Just make weapons in quick slots show.
Something like -
Back - 1 large or 2 medium-small weapons or bow+quiver
Belt - up to 2 medium-small weapons
Leg straps/extra pockets/etc. - any number of small weapons depending on outfit I guess

I don't like it, I think it should only be the equipment your currently equiped with that should be showing. I don't want my character showing off 8 blades at once when I'm going to sell 6 of them or use the blades for other reasons.

Yes, it would add to the immersion to be able to see a couple of unequipped weapons/items on our character in third person. I would think that maybe the "top 2-3 item slots" could be the things that are shown. I wouldn't want to show all 30 of my potions and 5 weapons hanging off of me, lol!

But it could also be pretty cool to have a few daggers strapped onto your chest or something. I think I would like it, but I am really not sure a good way of handling it. Ultimately I think it is unnecessary and I will not bee surprised/disappointed when it is not in the final game.

I voted yes... but I certainly wouldn't want to see all my loot. As someone else suggested, maybe hotkey items...

I think your character should be dragging a cart tied with a rope to his waist with all his stuff in there. No, wait...

I'm going for 3 most powerful "hot-keyed" weapons + shield, or 4 without shield. Small weapons could have a priority to be hanging from the waist to the side or just above his butt. ;) That's it, an all around balance. And remember, vote me for president.

I'm guessing the whole hot-key idea is the most popular. Are there any modders or programmers who can vouch that this can even be done? Easily, that is.
