so unlike everyone else with a brain i for some reason have the fallout 3 non GOTY bundled with oblivion, on disk. lo and behold i crash every time i start a new game. i decided to try and find some way to fix this on the internet, and iv installed every program to "scan my codecs" to the most recent fan made patches on the nexus, the games auto setup set itself up to run on medium quality to which i immediately lowered it to the lowest possible setting to see if that would help. it didnt. the codec scans just made it even worse, crashing before i hit the start screen. im at a complete loss what to do at this point because as many of you know, im terrible with computers. as far as i know i meet the system requirements (barely) and i have more than enough hard drive space for this to run. if anyone could steer me in the right direction here, it would be very appreciated.
