Non native resolution = blurry?

Post » Mon Mar 30, 2009 10:35 am

My native screen res is 1920x1080 but I cannot play it at that res because I get poor performance but if I play at 1280x720 it plays fine but everything looks blurry and not as detailed. In windowed mode it looks better but I don't want to play in a tiny window. I play other games at this res and it looks fine + there are no graphic settings to even adjust anything. Any suggestions?

On any computer with an LCD screen, non-native resolution in ANY software is going to look blurry. Its just a fact. If you want to have different resolutions, you need the get a CRT, multiscan monitor. A lot of gamers use these just for that fact.

As for this game, its probably especially blurry because it already is filled with low end textures designed for consoles.

Thanks for the reply. I play most of my games at this Res and it looks fine to me just this game does not look good unless I play in a window.

You should probably just play it at native resolution, it looks much better and any decent video card can run at a high resolution with practically no hit to FPS. I don't see why anyone would play a game at non-native unless they have a really **** video card.
