I love it but i'm still waiting for a damn patch. Can't play it when all my stuff is reset after every single match. BTW the console versions got fixed up alrdy, this is what pisses me off.

I have only suffered from this once luckily enough, although yes annoying.

Yeah I think there have been more threads like this, but almost like this one they get lost under the sheer volume of other threads, that's why I will try to keep this thread alive, so people know there are a small number of people who you can just chat with about the good points of the game.

Crysis 2 is best first person shooter experience out to date. This game is incredible, honestly! I'm an avid gamer and find myself heading back to crysis 2 because it's that good compared to others. Nothing compares to it when you increase the fov a little. Graphics are VERY nice! Crytek has done wonders with the base dx9. Wish multi would incorporate all the details that SP has into the mp maps. I get anywhere from 70-130 fps at extreme details 1920x1080 with gtx480s in sli and a quad core at 3.8mhz. This game utilizes 98% of both gpus and 60-90% on all CPU cores. It's definitely utilizing all the hardware like a PC game should. Cryengine 3 is an extremely powerful and fast engine. Great job crytek!

It would seem that most people have hopped on the "We hate Crytek and Crysis 2" wagon, but I know there are still a few people, including myself, who actually understand how hard this is all is for Crytek, and actually like the game.

The reasons why I am happy atm is...

1) Ok sure, there a few bugs. but tbh, I only realised there were until I started a new campaign, which then I lost all my nano catalysis. And yes, I was kind of pissed off, but, Crytek have just released a patch to fix it, so I'm all good

2) I have come across cheaters ONLY twice online, and I'm level 29 so have played quite a bit, yes there annoying, but again Crytek are fixing this, so I'm happy, and plus, do you know how many PC games in the world have 0 cheaters online?? Not many lol.

3) I think Crysis 2 is an amazing game, great gameplay, great story and very good graphics. And yes raging forums members, I have played Crysis 1, on highest settings, I still think Crysis 2 looks better. And no, I don't care about DX 11. sure it would be nice, but the game looks fine how it is. And no, I'm not a fanboy, I'm just a PC gamer, who likes Crysis 2, and understands how hard this is for Crytek.

I mean I bet 90% or more of you people raging at Crytek have never been in game development. I have, and trust me, it's not easy, we had bugs in our game from start to finish, they are hard to get rid of, you fix one bug, and 20 more pop up. And yes I know what I'm about, I'm a programmer.

So although to some people it may look like I was raging at some of the forum members, I'm not, I'm just stating My opinion, can't stress the MY enough.

So yes, I started this thread so people like me could get together and discuss the pros of the game and why they enjoy it.

Yeah you're right, hence why I made this thread, I ignored the other threads, and made this one, so we could just chat here. If you want to discuss about us, then be my guess and make a "Those **** snide fanboys" thread or something like that, and talk about it over there. This thread is just meant to be talking about why you like the game.

And yes in my first post, and some people have posted also, remarks regarding people like you who feel screwed over, but we haven't gone to your threads and done that, so please don't come to this thread and start having a go at us.

I bet you if you divided the threads made into PRO & CON C2 threads, 90% would be CON & 10% would be PRO. Thats the difference here. All the people who are crying about C2 being horrible somehow feel that they need to make a new thread for EVERY, NEW, complaint that they have.

I 100% agree with the OP : )

It is a great game in story and gameplay. And it looks beautifull (But DX11 would have been nice, and it was a dissapointment that it wasn't implented at launch)

I haven't played MP since the demo beacuse I'm still a bit tied up to BC2 and I started playing ACB SP right after finishing the C2 SP

And the bugs I found didn't bother me except from the melee bug, that was a bit annoying some times and I died a few times beacuse of it, but so what? Just use the gun next time ^^
And they have fixed it now so no it is perfect in my eyes

Well seeing as how the catalyst bug affected people universally and the hackers and connection problems affect almost everyone who tries to play multiplayer.

I've played CS:S, CoD4 (and below), TF2, BFBC2 amongst many other multiplayer games. I've never seen more than 20 hackers in any of them because I play in well-moderated servers and those games have good anti-cheat programs.

Actually they dont have good anti-cheat programs. The only reason why you wouldnt see hackers is because of the reason you listed or you didnt play enough.

Hackers are indeed everywhere in every game. The new patch seems to have cut a lot of them out which is a good sign. Only saw 1 speed hacker in extraction after the patch. I usually play in a squad which can vary from 5-8 players so if we get a cheater we usually try to kill him and make him rage quit .
The new patch did some good against those hacks and opening DMZ on my router seems to have fixed my connection lost issue so the game is really good for MP now IMHO. Well at least for a while before hackers crack the new patch.
