So none of the Armor values add up!

Post » Sun Jan 31, 2016 2:17 pm

It is true, on your pipboy apparel tab the cartoon representation has the various values (shield for guns\bullet DMG as an example) does not equal to the gear I am wearing???

I have on my little cartoon guy a chequered shield DEF of 360 above the head - yet my PA helmet Shield DEF is only 120????

This is just one example of there being no EFFFING explanation in-game

I must admit I hadn't noticed.

Now I'm curious what the explantion is, if there is any.

Someone else with a little more "Know"

Most of this game so far does not actually put you in the know, or give you real stats, or just make you feel that you know the level\quality of your weapons & equipment

Leading up to my #4 installment tomorrow

Ps I am logging all of them and I will publish them for all to see when completed. And sending it time and time again to BeMoneyMerchants[censored]allyDontGiveA[censored]Thesda

It's always added up properly for me.

Well there's at least one perk that gives you DR. That won't show with the armor pieces.

Edit:

I see what you are saying. When in power armor, all the limbs in the diagram add up to 900 for me, but the shield shows 660.

When outside the power armor, the individual pieces add up to 600. If I wear just the exoskeleton, that shows 60 DR, so there's the 660.

I did the test naked and DR showed 0 in the pipboy before entering the armor.

Yes i see what you are saying.

The shield damage display above the PA helmet seems to be out by a factor of 3.

Displaying 3 times it's intrinsic resistance.

Also if you just wear the frame it gives you 12 damage resistance for each arm, leg and torso adding up to 60 as the previous post mentions, then if you equip the associated pa piece then the display adds the damage rating of the piece to the basic 12.

At first glance it looks like an error to me.

I'm surprised to see you're still posting in the Bethesda forums... Didn't you "mention" (which is putting it lightly) moving on to Destiny...?
