Noob question about deleting mobs

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 3:05 pm

Hi.

I'm having trouble with deleting mobs from certain areas.
I tried doing that by simply marking them on the display monitor and pressing delete.
When I save the "cleared" version of the map as a plug-in file and run the game with my plug-in marked, the mobs are still there, happy and ready to eat me. The reason of doing so is being in constant fighting mode when my charr is in his stronghold compound. It's kind of annoying, getting bitten by a wild allit in a town square.
The question is: how do I delete them for good?

I'am aware that the solution might be in tutorials on TES but that would take me a day or two to find the right paragraph.

You'll need to kill them again if they are already present, but normally they shouldn't respawn after that.

If you don't want to waste the time killing them, face them and open up the console (usually ~). Click on them so their id shows up at the top of it and type sethealth 0 and press enter. That'll kill them instantly without you having to life a finger. You'll need to click on each creature individually though, but pressing the up arrow in the console will bring back the previous command, so you don't have to type it every time.

You can also just type disable.
