Noob question - jewellery box

Post » Tue Jan 19, 2010 5:25 pm

I feel slightly embarrassed asking this, but I just want to add a jewellery box to my house to keep my trinkets in. I've combed through every subsection of Containers but I can't for the life of me find one. Where are they?

Also, is it necessary to give a new container it's own ID? And which ID box do I need to enter one, on the main properties page or when I click edit base? I know I need to make sure the resapwn box isn't checked, but I'm still unsure that what I'm doing is only changing this particular container and not all of them.

I'm reading a tutorial but it doesn't seem to cover this. It goes right from placing objects to scripting, which isn't very helpful.

Thanks very much.

Instead of looking in subsections, just click on "Containers". This will list every container in the game. Scroll down until you see ChestJewelryMiddle01, ChestJewelryNoble01, ChestJewelryUndercroft and ChestJewelryUpper01. Double click on one of them and change the EditorID (i.e., ChestJewelryUpper01, or whichever one you choose. MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THIS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE). Next, delete all the items that you don't want from that container's list. If you want to add items to it, locate them in the CS and drag them into the container's list. Now click "Okay". A warning message will come up saying that you have changed the EditorID and ask you if you want to create a new Form. Select "Yes". You have now created a new container. Now you can drag it into your house and place it wherever you want.

Yes. If you don't, every container of that type in the game will be changed.
