Nord or imperial : V

I cant choose to play as nord or imperial
Played oblivion as imperial. but since this is skyrim i was thinking to play as a nord.
Going to join the imperial legion. and dont really think as a nord you can.
I never use magic and play the game as a warrior archer. so mayby nord fits me more. but still

Does it really matter that much wich race you chooce?

One of the very first legion members you meet is a Nord. Nords founded the Empire. Imperials are just Nords who moved south and got acclimatized to warmer weather.

You can join whatever faction you want. I'm also a nord but I'm gonna join the empire. Probably gonna get hunted down the rest of my days in skyrim but whatever. Plus the nords power is better

This.In fact,most named imperial soldiers ive met are Nords.In the lore it mentions multiple times that Nords make up a very large part of the Imperial army.

But i see theres nothing wrong with it. Mayby its even more realistic to be in the imperial legion as a nord, take back whats ours

The race pratically don't matter...
And who said that Nords can't join the Legion ?

If you go to Whiterun you'll see two clans, the Battle-Born and the Gray-Manes

The Gray-Manes support Ulfric
when
The Battle-Born support the Empire.

You can see that there are Nords that don't think like Ulfric.. and supports the Empire. =]

You can be a Nord and still join the Legion. ;D

The racial power is sweet as a nut. Then again the Nords frost resistance is a lifesaver too.

Heck, I like being big green ugly and smelly. Just ask my wife... :whistling:

To be honest it hink orcs look pretty cool this year. In oblivion they werent really scary. Much improvement this year.
Im only want to play as a human race.
Nothing against big grean and smelly tho

Well Skyrim has always been a part of the Empire, so that is no surprise.

The Nords founded the empire.The Nords also over-threw the elves.I read something that said "The history of the Empire is the history of the Nords".Also,the lore also states somewhere that all humans save Redguards(and likely the Akaviri humans)are directly descended from Nords.Im sure you knew all of that,but it seems related to this thread.

Nords have formed the backbone of the Empire since its inception (Tiber Septim having been a Nord before his ascent to Talos). The whole premise of the civil war is that you have Nords both for and against. If you're looking at a Nord and your only concern is whether or not they'd fit into the Legion story-wise, then you definitely have a green light to go ahead.
