This wikipedia article lists old norse norwegian names.

Names with the ending "a", "bj?rg", "laug", "rid". "hild", "ny", "un" and "veig" are usually female names. The rest are usually male. Making new, but norse sounding names, you could simply take the ending, and infront put something else.
Example: Solveig, has the veig ending and is a female name. Removing Sol (meaning sun) and adding Ran, Ol or whatever, makes a new female name like Ranveig.
The same for male names. A lot of male names ends with "bj?rn" (beorn, meaning bear) or "ar" (a shortening of harjar/ warrior). Torbj?rn minus "Tor" adding for instance Finn, makes Finnbj?rn or Finnbeorn (meaning the finnish bear). Agnar, removing "Agn" and adding "Stein" (Stone) makes the name Steinar meaning Stone Warrior. Or you can but the to endings together making Bj?rnar (Beornar) a common norwegian name, meaning Bear Warrior.
