Nordic game magazine cover revealed!

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:05 pm

Gorgeous cover.

Now, I'm going t whine: Why does every game company that does a game which includes something roughly anolagous to Vikings have to put horns on their helmets? They.did.not.wear.them.

OK. I"m done now.

how true

Well, to be fair they aren't technically Vikings. Although regardless of that, I still stay putting handlebars on your helmet to make it easier for your opponent to grab you is kind of silly.

This is true, but that's the reason for RPG games. So you could pretend to live the fantasy. And I prefer the axe-wielding, horn wearing vikings of lore to the borderline gay-sailor archetype now recently being uncovered in history.

Vikings never really did have horned helmets

And it's fantasy. A lot of tes armors aren't that practical.

So are all the overseas publications going to have the same cover? This is exactly the same as the PU cover posted yesterday.

Because they are not vikings and they are not nords as we think of them in htis world. It's a fictional world and not this world. There are no orcs nor argoneons either. Totally fictional places, people, races and stories. ;)

I suppose you're right. With luck we'll be spared Xena style armor.

HOLY CRAP THAT'S AWESOME.

I swear, if that's an in game screen shot... Let's just say I have an extra pair of pants ready just in case it is.

That looks sick.

And your mag is free? That's not fair :/ :P

@Yargum That's definitely not a in-game shot.

The foreground is clearly some sort of artwork/ photo composite, but the background onto which it is overlain (rather crisply, I might add) looks awfully like all the other LOD screenshots we've seen.

Well... I certainly hope so, at least.
