Do you think that the nords will express their hate towards wood elves? Not to the extent of an insult every 10 seconds. (Morrowind, I'm looking at you) But considering that Nords stole Skyrim from the Snow Elves do you think they would dislike Wood Elves?

Of course. The majority of TES elves seem to be arseholes, anyway.

I don't think the Nords hate the Wood Elves although Dark Elves on the other hand now that's a different story because of all the border fights with Solsteim and possibly the mainland area of Morrowind. Also with Red Mountain blown up that's going to increase the refugee count which will probably tick off the Nords even more.

I'm pretty sure there was a Nord-Breton war, so I doubt they have a love of Wood Elves either.

Bretons aren't elves although their ancestors were elves before the breeding made them more human looking. I agree though I expect Bretons as well to be treated badly in Skyrim, along with Dunmer, Orcs, Redguard, and Imperial. Everybody else is neutral.

QFT and yeah to an extent the Nords would throw an insult or a joke now and then, just like the dunmer would insult people in Morrowind.

The hatred towards mer and nord dates as far back as before Mundus. These two groups of people used to be one, if the Anuad is to be believed, however what separated these two is the alignment towards Shor or Auriel. The race of pre-man/mer split, with those who would be man to side with Shor and the mer to side with Auriel. The view of Mundus is practically a 180 difference, with one group wishing to destroy the "prison" that is Mundus and return to what life was like before the creation of Mundus (the mer), and the other group viewing it as a testing ground to ascend into a higher plane of existence than the gods themselves (men).

Of course, groups of men and mer split and fractured, such as the dunmer more like men, and the redguards more merish

Make no mistake, nords and altmer hate each other a lot, the only difference is that the nords are more blunt and the altmer are more eloquent about their hatred towards each other.

That's superficial. Sure the altmer are smug, but the hate between races does fundamentally comes from the division between those who sided with Auriel and fought against Shor, and those who sided with Shor and fought against Auriel.

The Hist were only bystanders and did not participate in this way, but had much of their lands sunk from the resulting war. This is also why the argonians are unique and alien, as they're not related to any of the races on Tamriel, while all the other races are.

So Nords only like Argonians and Khajjit...

Wood Elves are always in a rancid mood....due to p3nis envy. They deserve any hostility coming their way.

I believe when it comes to the physiological quirks of Bosmers, the smaller the dude means the bigger his "package" is. Really, is there any other way to explain how is it considered by their females that the shorter and squatter a Bosmer dude is, the more attractive he is??!

One of the things i liked about Morrowind was the ever present racial tension that really shaped a lot of the game world. Adding racial, religious, political, and cultural tensions would only serve to add a greater depth and believability to the game world

Hey maybe Dunmer will be humbled by having their homeland sucessfully invaded by the same race as the majority of their slaves.

I think the Nords have unexplained hatred for everyone
