Should I help the Nords take over Thirsk Hall or the Rieklings? Which one do you guys think is the better option?

Kill 'em all. Sorry for the huge edit, it's been a while since I've done the quest.

Honestly, I think the Rieklings make better use of the place. The Nord option gives you a new spouse of each gender, though. There are also some extra fetch quests and training depending on how you proceed with the quest. If I had to choose, I'd pick Riekling. Rieklings make you their leader and the Nords don't. The Rieklings needed help to defend their new home and reward you for it. The Nords need help taking their old home back, but only because they all became lazy and ineffectual. Rieklings are also adorable.

I side with the Nords. Nothing like getting drunk with my fellow nords.

All those little half naked savage imp things kinda make my female barbarian nervious.

I always side with the Nords even though they lost the hall due to their lazy, drunkeness. I hate the rieklings. They are such pains in the butts when fighting them in other places. I don't understand why people find them cute.

Rieklings are a pest. Get rid of them. They just as bad as goblins in Oblivion.

Nords. Because I can't stand Rieklings either.

There needs to be a riekling punt killcam animation for unarmed kills.

I sided with the Nords. One of them took 20 Stalhrim ores away from me.

He was never seen again...

Nords. I first came across the hall and it was in the hands of the Reiklings. I do their quests and then find we are attacking the Nords, who werent attacking them, and the hall was the Nord's first. Plus the Reiklings had attacked me several times previously, unprovoked when I was just walking around. So i reverted to a save, joined the Nords and got rid of the Reiklings. Yes, the Nords were lazy, but that isn't usually a crime punishable by death. I think the Nords have learnt their lesson and will take cared their hall now.

Since we're on the topic of this quest..... Did anyone else kinda go WTF? At the end of that quest line where tha guardian says no one is fit to rule them or whatever. I really thought there way going to be more to it but I guess not.
I kinda think it was an unfinished quest, anyone else think so?

Wouldn't be the first one. I'd be interested to know if anyone has looked into it.

it felt very unfinished. like... maybe I whould have been able to see if I could lead them. As it is I usually keep my mouth shut. They have a right to govern themselves.

Time for Hevnoraak to give us a lecture on how cultured the reiklings are to the savage nords.

Also time for Colonel killabee to charge in shouting Victory or sovenguard and skyrim for the nords.

Why does everyone seem to pass up the One time Our character gets to be a Ruler? Reiklings are usually My choice. Having a train of Spiders and Rieklings is fun, unless somone is a really serious Arachnophobe. Something needs to distract the high tier Dragons as they land in a pile of Spiders with Flame and Frost Cloaks, and My character enjoys the occasional backup of Riekling Warriors on the Mainland.
