Nords

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 8:30 am

I, for one, love Nords. Mine lives in Bruma, and drinks with the other Nords at the pub next door. He's a warrior, as most Nords are. I've considered Making a new Character, a Redguard Warrior. Hell, maybe even a Breton warrior, but I find the idea of switching away from my Nord a bit....painful. How about you guys? Depending on what option you picked, tell me why you love/are okay with/or hate Nords! =) :foodndrink:

For me, there's no race like them. Lovin' cold, huge chunks of meat, lots of mead, adventure and good fights is my utopic lifestyle.

Don't hate em, don't love 'em. The male NPCs are bearable, but I don't like the women. I can't play them either (mind, I can't play many characters... damn restartitis!), but I in no way hate them

I've always loved Nords.

Ever since I got into TES Lore, they've been my second favourite race. My first being Dunmer.

However, I rarely play Nords in Oblivion (well, my current Nord Frost Maiden is the only Nord I've played) because of the monumental effort to make them look good.

I voted I love 'em, but I quite like all the races. Nords have a deliciously rich history and lore. Although Buffy is a Bosmer, Acadain is (well, used to be) a Nord.

It's good isn't it?

My Nord is an Atronach, something I've never done before. She uses frost magic when in serious combat. However, when her magicka is low she breaks out her axe.

She has a bow as she roams the wilderness, but that's mainly for hunting. She's not the stealthiest gal in the world (yet).

I like Nords. Some of my best characters were Nords, particularly a slightly crazy Nord lady.

However I can't say I like them much more than some (or all) of the other races. So I voted "ok". Or I guess I could have said "love them" but in much the same way as many other races.

Ahh the Nords, my favorite of the Races of Man. And third overall favorite race. Infact I think my next character shall be a Nord.

Like all the races, they're a mixed bag. The good, the bad and Sten the Ugly.

Olava the Fair is only fair, Hil the Tall actually is tall, Newheim the Portly does live in a port city, but Maeva the Buxom is a little disappointing without mods.

I play mostly Nords when I play a human race, I enjoy the extra bit of encumberance in the starting dungeon. I am also fairly good at giving a female Nord an attractive face, but keeping them Nordic looking.

I love Nords, I love their lore and I love playing as them. My second character was a Nord. I made him after reading Children of the Sky on my first character and thinking, "Wow this race is awesome!" I still have him as a character actually.

The vast majority of characters I have created in morrowind and oblivion have been nord, and second would be dark elf.

Currently have a nord mercenary / werewolf(CoH) living in Battlehorn castle, a disturbed individual who is prone to random bouts of violence although manages to survive in relative secrecy.

Also a nord I find is a not only a good fighter but can make a very good but not overpowered jack of all trades, plus I like the lore.

I'm a Nord (Swedish-American). "Glargg," my first Elder Scrolls character, was a Nord. I love 'em, and I love to poke fun at 'em. :)

I like 'em alright. Not my favorite, but in the top 5 rather than the bottom 5. My first Oblivion character was a Nord, a sneaky one who was perfectly willing to slit throats for cash and prizes. Pretty good at it, too. I would definitely consider playing as a Nord again... had some thoughts recently about making a Nord Barbarian-type character.

My current character recently spent some time up in Bruma, and enjoyed the Nords' company up there. OTOH, she was appalled by the attitude they get from some the non-Nord residents there, like Gerich Senarel. Does Burd know about his lousy outlook?
