Well, it's been a while since I've done this, so bear with me. After a long hiatus from any kind of modding, I'm at work on something I finally decided to share. If you've played Northern Winds or Season of the Harvest, you're at least familiar with some stuff I've done...so hopefully that's a good thing . Despite the name, this is not a sequel to Northern Winds. It's more like a related mod in the same genre, but I decided to keep the original name. Anyways, read below, look at the pictures, enjoy, and please comment.

Description
The Shield of Winter- an ancient, isolated fortress located in the far North, beyond even the icy reaches of Solstheim. For many years, the fortress has served as an extreme northern outpost for the Imperial Legion, but recently all communication with the garrison has ceased. Concerned, the Legion has sent you to investigate the disappearance and learn what you can about the missing garrison. However, The Shield of Winter will not give up its secrets easily. Stories, struggles, and treachery long buried have begun to resurface, and the deeds and sins of the past may have repercussions that shake the foundations of both Heaven and Earth.

Features
-Explore the Shield of Winter, a huge, sprawling fortress located across multiple islands in an archipelago situated in the far North.
-Uncover the secrets of a past torn by treachery, tragedy, and human weakness.
-Multiple endings: Blaze a holy trail of death through the fortress, seek power and glory in the abandoned ruins, or uncover the truth behind the fall of The Shield of Winter.
-High level challenge: Fearsome monsters, NPCs, and traps guard the buried past of the fortress. Bring your CE Restore Health enchantments, your Daedric Sword of Death, and your wits. You'll need them.

That's about how far I've gotten so far, but I wanted to give everyone a preview of what's going on. If I had to put a number on it, I'd say I'm 25-30% done, but things should be going faster now that I have a pretty good idea of where things are going. Don't expect updates with the depth of detail that I gave for the first few areas...I don't want to give everything away . Basically, I'm mostly free until mid-August, so I should have enough time to finish this summer. I hope.

Notes
People may notice that there are probably some influences on this mod. I won't deny it- I'm influenced by lots of stuff...some more than others. Hell, even the title was encouraged by something (kudos to anyone who figures it out). I just encourage you to trust me to treat this in a creative manner.

Anyways, whew, that's it for now. Thoughts and comments?

I remember playing part 1 a few years ago, and I enjoyed the challenge for my high-level character.
