I'm on xbox, is this normal? The obvious answer is that it's not installed. But all the dLC content of FO3 is in the FO3 memory folder.
Also when loading my game the message "please wait loading extra content" always appears, so I assumed it's all installed. Any ideas?
I had this issue after the xbox got its new dashboard. It happened with both Fallout 3 and Oblivion, where it would say that it was loading extra content, but the time didn't seem as long as it usually is. So I went in and found that BS was loaded, PL and OA loaded, but the Pitt did not. I did however, have the quest for it, just no radio signal. So I hiked up there and didn't see a radio tower.
I went back to my discs (I purchased the DLC on discs, not otherwise) and reinstalled, still keeping my old saves. When the game said it was loading extra content this time, the time it took waiting for the load seemed right, then I loaded up and found the radio tower. But still no signal. So I started the quest, just to the point where I have to go get an outfit, and went on my merry way, knowing that it was there. (I didn't want to start the Pitt at level 3.) After starting the quest, I got the radio signal lol, but by then it was too late.
When I reinstalled, I did not delete old content. I simply reinstalled over the first installment, letting the box figure out which was to be re-copied over and which not to. Seems I had to reinstall (FO3 and Oblivion are the only two games actually installed) to get all components to "shake hands" again.
