The 'traditional' MMOG gives the player a set character, each of these characters are essentially the same. This CLASS system, creates a monotonous group of relatively similar player characters. When two PC encounter each other they immediately resort to the 'best' recourse to deal with their respective class.
The SPECIAL system has previously allowed the player to infinitely customize their character to their own strategy, leaving them with the advantage of creating a custom character regardless of the 'race' they choose.
