As of now, no. If they were able to do it while maintaining a uniqueness in each area, making intricate details in every area and fully fleshing everything in all of the different areas out, then I'd love it.

I would love to see this happen, and this doesn't seem impossible either especially since you can get games like Fuel that are massive and have a lot of detail.

I actually quite liked the game Fuel. What a huge play area. I always wished that Fallout 3 should have been set in that size post-apocalyptic world.

Fuel was a little bit of a waste of digital space though. As fun as it was there was nothing to do in it except race and collect barrels. But yeah, ES game the size of Fuel would be ace.

I would love the idea of having the whole world to play in but it would take up to much memory, and would most likely crash a lot, plus the detailing might not be as good as any of us want it.

I would definitely like to see all of Tamriel in a game, and maybe afterwards, I would like to see all of Nirn.

I might be crazy for thinking this, but I'm hoping in the future when we reach the very last chapter of The Elder Scrolls, a full game simply titled The Elder Scrolls which would include 5+ disc set (however many chapters) with each province on each disc creating the ENTIRE Tamriel remade.

My ultimate RPG fantasy game would be for Beth to one day in the near future release a ES game that covered the entire continent of Tamriel. Not just provinces, but the entire landmass.

Have you played http://www.elderscrolls.com/arena/? :P

Whole of Tamriel? Pfft. The whole of Nirn is my ideal TES RPG (and one of my ideal open-world RPGs, second only to Arda).

I'd want it to be huge though - much bigger than Daggerfall. And much more detailed / less generic.

you can only hope for this if they make an MMO

It would certainly be the ultimate TES game which we will probably never see outside of an MMO. Technology is not the number one limiting factor preventing this, it's man power. It would take a team of 500 ten years to make the entire continent with even half the detail of a single province.

I'd like an ES game that takes place in one of the other continents of Nirn.

ABSOLUTELY! And I think it may happen, but not during the lifecycle of this current generation of consoles. Possibly not for two such generations (sa the next 8 to ten years). I expect that when the systems and devs can manage to get ALL of the provinces in, and have each be about twice the size of Cyrodil in Oblivion, that is when we will see it. I don't think this gen would support a game anywhere NEAR that size, but furture gen. games, provided there is no apocalyptic setback, will certainly be able to handle it.

Realistically speaking, as a profit driven company, would YOU spend 8 times the cost and effort to develop a game that will be sold for the same price?

Well ya it did feel big, I kept running in Helstrom, Black Marsh for about 40 mins, not knowing about the fast travel -.-

Daggerfall was HUGE though, devs say it was half as big, if not, as big as Britain!

Yeah, it's the biggest game world ever created ;)
