does anyone know how to delete a character on xbox 360, i cant seem to figure out how

I thought there was a pretty clear button for it? I think it was Y I saw in some old conference footage on YouTube..

[ (Y) DELETE CHARACTER] - something like that..

go to a character, It gives you 3 options.
1. Select Character
2. Customize Character
3. Delete Character.
