Example 2: (Look at your amazing art RUINED by horrible bloom -- Did you even play test this?)

What does FPS have to do with overblooming?

The overbloom is aweful, breaks away from how good the graphics are. I prefer the first games graphics though over this. This runs WAY better though

They are obviously trying to mask the horrible lack of graphics quality with overbloom and other "consolized" tricks. The art may be nice, and it could really show off, if it wasn't so technically underwhelming.

The FOV is awful, there is no in-game AA or proper texture filtering. The only in-game video options are to set presets. Oh, "Extreme". That's neat.

This is Really sad. Honestly, I played some of the demo and figured the lack of video options was due to the demo. I never would have thought the game wouldn't have any customizable options in full-release, considering this used to be the cutting-edge for PC gamers. Now it's just pathetic. The FOV itself really makes me want to vomit. It's either too narrow or it fisheyes and makes me nauseous.

Add +glow 0 to your launch options, that will clear it up.

lol "consolized" the only word in the dictionary that was invented by idiotic 15-20 year olds that love to rage all day on the net!

Also the bloom is fine. They made it that way intentionally. It was to give the feeling of an "urban jungle." You know how they did it with trees and the sun in Crysis 1 and warhead? Well they wanted to give that same kind of impression but with an urban jungle instead. In all honesty the bloom is fine. I am near and far sighted and it doesn't effect me at all. You guys must have some pretty **** or sensitive eyes and that's saying something coming from me.

No ****. They made it that way intentionally.

You do realize this is one of the first PC games in some years that provides zero customization for video options? This is coming from "Crytek". The former king of PC customization. Now completely dumbed down to preset settings and an obtuse console command feature that doesn't even function properly.

There is no AA. NONE. It doesn't work, and the Field of View is simply embarrassing.

Keep making excuses for yourself, I'm sure EA will svck you off sooner or later.

Doesn't do anything for me.

This is disappointing, doubt I'll be buying any more Crytek games.

I'll been so busy trying to figure out how to get this game going. I had given up and decided to play something else only to realize that whatever was installed with this game is what causes CrossfireX to fail. My other games are now playing with the horrible flickering that came with this game. So not only do I not get to play Crysis 2. I am stuck not being able to play any other pc game.

So many failures crying about that bloom.
It makes me laugh.
Go off and play Doom 1, which would be the "best game ever" because it has no bloom.

It seems that when Crysis 2 launches it does something to either the ATI catalyst or drivers that forces this bad flickering. After launching Crysis 2 and having this issue I went on to try another one of my games. That game was plagged by the same flickering found in Crysis 2. I then logged out of my account. Logged back in and ran my other game. The problem was gone from that game. So every time Crysis 2 is launched it changes something forcing this issue when running multi-gpu.

I think the bloom should be toggleable. I personally don't mind any of the visual effects, but someone's not a fail because they have sensitive eyes.
Crytek please will you fix this up, I'm a HUGE Crytek fan, and as much as I love your stuff, I'm wavering...... This game was whooped up to be something it clearly is not.

I can see some bloom being nice like fire in the dark, etc but I can take more screenshots of the OVER DONE effects if some of you need it.

I turned off glow in the demo and it looked A LOT nicer but that doesn't work for the final game. CRYTEK... where are you?!

I think Crytek's graphics programmers don't go outside that often.. when I go outside, I certainly do not see lightrays and bloom bouncing off every single possible surface! I've never once seen the sky completely white either, nor have I seen a car light cast a film quality 6 foot strip of light before my eyes.

Why do games company's think this is cool? It's not, it's fugly and unrealistic.

The two screenshots remind me of the days of half life 2, when HDR and blooming are first introduced.
I thought in Crysis 1 they have mastered the technique, but it seems from these two pictures they obviously aren't that experienced with this.

the AMD/ATI problem must be with the dual GPU cards and X-fire setups. i have a single 6970 and this game runs better then my other games.

Sorry... this thread isn't about ATI fixes. Go to another thread.

The bloom/flare is horridly overdone. It needs to be a toggle option or at least provide a tweak for it. It's ruining the game for me.
