Is it not possible for someone to make Daggerfall available in one simple download I can unzip and play striaght away?

ie without all the dosbox bullcrap. Being a computer noob, I dont find the faq's all too coherent.

Ya need the game disc to run without DOSbox. Already assuming ya just download the game via gamesas, ya probably don't have one. Beside, I would probably bet running the game without the DOSbox would be a bit unstable for modern computers.

How would you like it if you created a program that enabled gamers all over the world to play those old school classics (not just Daggerfall) that no longer run on newer operating systems, and someone referred to it as "bullcrap"?

I get the impression from your post that you feel as though you have an entitlement to an unzippable .exe. Unfortunately you don't. Don't you think it would have already been done by now if that was the simplest/best/easiest way?

I installed Dosbox & Daggerfall just the other day. You have to invest a little bit of time in it, but it's reasonably straightforward and works well. Time to pull finger.....

Try it and let us know. It says it works, but most of us did the install manually.
