A NOT real world weapon you'd like to see in Fallout

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 11:05 pm

The "pressure modulator" You would shoot it at an enemy (very limited range) and they would proceed to drop their weapon, fall to the ground, clutch their stomach, let out a groan and explode into chunks of human

That's the point I was trying to get across, if you try to, say, defeat the Deathclaws a Quarry Junction, and all you have is a laser rifle, you're kind of screwed.
Not necessarily, with the mods, proper perks and some Max Mfc's the humble Laser Rifle can actually be a very effective weapon even against deathclaws.

Just thought of a weapon I'd like to see.
The "idea" of it has been done to death, but it's still one of my favorite non-real weapons(Half Life 2 did it the best, IMO)
That weapon which "grabs" random objects/debris, then launches whatever you picked up as a projectile. I wouldn't mind seeing a Fallout version of that.
(oh, Dead Space series has it too, but it's like telekinesis or suttn)

Like you said, it's bit over done.
Bioshock, Dead Space, Portal.

Does sound like it could be interesting in unlocking secret locations and whatnot, but knowing Fallout games it'll cause a few bugs with "ammo" falling through the ground or something not being nailed down or able to pick up.

Yea, the word "overdone" doesn't even describe how over used it really is, BUT, it's soooo over used because it's just that good of an idea.
I'd like Fallout to put their own twist on it though, because as much as it is seen in games these days, Dead Space really made it their own(IMO)
If Fallout could pull off somthing like that, I'm sure it wouldn't be looked at half as bad as if they were to simply copy paste it from another series.

Fallout 3 had the Rock-It launcher, though not what you would like, it is a similar idea and I think that is as far as they would go with that idea.

I played and love the originals much more than the new ones but, honestly, looking at these shows how much better and more unique they look in 3 & NV than 1 & 2

I'd like to see a harpoon gun.

The Fallout1 Laser rifle is a higher class than the NewVegas one so maybe have both tiers in the next game.

How would making the AER9 full auto work out? Or maybe have an AER13 that is automatic since we know they had a 14couple prototype.

True. I'd like to see a return of fire modes. At the very least I'd love to have a burst fire weapon.

I would too, if they make a favorites menu like Skyrim (which I expect they will) it will free up places on the d-pad for console users, so it could easily be done. And have them expand energy weapons, maybe add a couple new completely new ammo types, only if they can explain it well though.
