not sure about FONV..

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 2:35 pm

is the story line good enough to buy the ultimate edition? cause the game is pretty old and the graphics are a bit harsh. I know RPG games dont have the best graphics cause of the size of the game and all that... it just seems a bit like WoW graphics... so are the story lines good enough to forget about the graphics?

The graphics?

Really?

The graphics, you're joking right?

BF3 had amazing graphics, but overall svcked.

This is almost as stupid as saying FO3:NV.

But to answer your question, yes the storyline/gameplay makes you forget the graphics exist. And they're pretty good, not sure what your talking about.

It is definently worth buying. NEWS FLASH: GRAPHICS AREN'T ALL THAT MATTER IN THE GAME

FO1, FO2, and Tactics had HORRIBLE graphics, yet I think they're three of the best games in existance.

DEFINETLY worth buying. No question about it.

I don't think the originals had bad graphics, they have really great art design, if you look past the low res sprites you will see art.

They had amazing graphics back then, but as of what we have now, yeah they have pretty bad graphics.

I agree with your statement about art though.

Sorry if I sounded like a [censored] but I wouldn't want someone to miss out on this great game just because of the graphics.

2D art ages better, personally I find Fallout 1 and 2's graphics more appealing then Fallout 3's low res green muddy graphics.

also New Vegas isn't even 2 years old, how the hell does that qualify as old?

Apparently 1 1/2 years is old.

PS: I like how your signature says you hate the enclave, while mine basically says I love the Enclave. :P

You come here, saying FO:NV has old/crap graphics? Then insult it with asking if the storyline is good and if it's 'worth' buying?

On top of this, you say they seem like WoW Graphics?

I have a response for you, my good sir.

Graphics are fine for me. Gameplay is fun as hell and storyline is superb. I'm definitely buying the UE. Playin through FO 3 right now. Then playthrough NV again (hopefully by then FO4 will be announced) and then play skyrim until FO4 is out. :) That's my plan.
Don't worry about the people around here they mean well. Their just a bit touchy. :D

Yes, yes, yes...you hate Fallout 3 and everything it represents with the intensity of a thousand suns. We know.

But your overall point is true, 2D does age better. When you compare FO and FO2 to 3D games from the same era, they look far less offensive. That said, as we get closer and closer to photorealism that will become less and less true.

There is very little about the original post that isn't baffling. Old? WoW graphics? Whut? If someone wouldn't buy F:NV because of it's "bad" graphical presentation, I'm not sure what to say.

IT is old? Not in gaming years, but in principle it's old, that'as like me, I buy shoes, a month later, they're old so I go out n' buy a new pair, fallout NV is old, just not in gaming years.

By that logic Skyrim is an old game. I personally wouldn't consider GTA IV old and it was made 4 years ago.

I agree with this. I'm not sure how one could consider F:NV old unless they just started gaming in the last 12-18 months.

More like every time I think about it.

the thing is I don't really hate Fallout 3, considering it got me into the Fallout series, but I do find it extremely disappointing, just sometimes I get a bit passionate about it.
