No. Because the top reviewers are some kind of shady when it comes to reviewing. (Gamespot giving GTA IV a perfect 10/10; complete garbage). The smaller reviewers have been giving Brink relatively positive reviews, I trust smaller reviewers. (8.0 - 9.0).

It sure stopped me. And I did not only look at the score. Many reviewers have scored it lower then a 7.5. And with a reason to do so. If most is fixed I will certainly buy this game.

Nope.
I'm in it for the cool customisation and movement. (I'm gimmicky)
So I'm good still.

hell no i live in the uk and cant wait to get my hands on this.
i watched most of the review vids and many have got stupid reasons. (nades, objectives based on classes just to name the dumbest ones)
for the legit problems like grafic popups and bot inteligence SD has said before release that they are aware of thes issues and will be fixing them. :celebration: :celebration:

This. No game is perfect, but that doesn't matter if you enjoy it. Can't wait for Brink to come this way!

I am enjoying the hell out of this game. I really don't know how you can give this game a 5 or 6. The AI is bad and the map count is a low, but other than that, I'm having a blast.

Honestly, I think Ign and g4 were paid. If you look at my "Good Reviews to read", at least 17 of them are good and there are about 5 or 6 bad reviews.
The good is over weighing the bad! :)
Never base a game on ign reviews that is just stupid.

It got a nine out of ten over here. [PS3]version without online

http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2011/05/10/review-brink/2/

Pros

?SMART is ace
?So much customisation
?Gunplay feels good
?Ruthless enemy AI
?Mostly decent team AI
?Seamless online integration
?Rewards teamwork
?XP here, XP there, XP freakin’ everywhere
?Brink has massive potential
Cons

?Lacks variety
?Can still be a bit ropey, graphically
?Single player is a big non-event
Brink will live or die by the community it attracts. Whilst it is so much more accessible than MAG, you’ll still need to put the time in to stay relevant. Despite a bit of lag, playing online is a fantastic affair, with the potential to be made even better with the addition of more variety by way of DLC. Looking for a deep and meaningful single player story? Then step away. Looking for an intense online shooter with more guns than Texas? Come on in, the water’s fine.

Not sure how the reviewer played the online though......

Yeah plus didn't you state in your review a few days back that once your brother stopped being a kill troll and almost gave up on brink but when he started being a team player and started completing objectives, he began having a blast

JUST WAIT UNTIL GAMEINFORMER REVIEWS IT. That's what I always do if I haven't gotten the game yet. Gameinformer is always trustworthy. :intergalactic:

No...simply for 1 fact that alot of people are forgetting, Im just here to have fun.

I dont want a dramatic competitive "Omg look at his rank, omg you noob! hahaha" bs screamed at me over my earphones.

"You have been kicked, Reason - Your just too [censored] low level"

Or any of this.

I want to come home, make my tea, kiss the mrs, log into brink, and be shoved into an action packed TF2 style battle - And i says TF 2 because, i believe that game has the same aspect in a sense, people are just there to play for fun and pass a few hours.

Will Brink be the type of game you can devote your life into? I wish, But no.....Its not an RPG type game, Its main purpose is to gun fight!

Will Brink be able to pass a few hours - completely, depending on how you take too it, way i see it is, Its one of those games you either catch onto- get good at and enjoy, there for you punch 4-7 hours a day on it.

Or you log on - its maybe not much to your liking, but hey youve bought it, might aswell play it - come on every few hours and play for 1-3hours.

This game will come down to something that will be difficult for most to appreciate....friends.

If you can learn to group up with community's - join a clan/group, log on TS or IRC chans , Make friends online - dont be shy to speak over the mic's regardless of accents "mines is Scottish, so you would all get a good laugh outta me :P".....learn to do this - and this game will become everything you wished for.

Cause at the end - T.E.A.M = Together Everyone Accomplishes More!!

On Metacritic there's 6 that scored it less then 75 and 13 that scored it 75 and up - http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/brink/critic-reviews

It's getting a lot of 80s which I expected it to get between 75 and 80 so I'm not that bothered about the reviews, just hope I enjoy it come friday.

Don't listen to IGN or G4, they are in the pockets of corporations. Splash Damage doesn't have the budget to pad the pockets of the reviewers from those sites like the behemoths Activision and EA do. I would write a fabulous review for a steaming pile of dog [censored] if someone paid me a load of cash to do it. IGN and G4 don't like Brink because it's not CoD and doesn't support the pissing contest involved with KDR stats, etc. KDR is precisely why people don't work together in my opinion. With KDR people complain at you for stealing their kills, camp, and basically don't cooperate with their team to complete objectives most of the time.

The game is barely out in the hands of public before these vultures give a crap review. They haven't even played the game the way it was meant to be played. It's easy to focus on only the bad points of a game or twist perception of the game's features to support your opinion if you want to make it sound terrible. Brink is supposed to be an online experience where your team and the opposing team are made up of real human players, and most of the bad reviews complain about how bad the A.I. is and how it doesn't help you complete the objectives very much. Of course the A.I. is bad! A.I. is terrible in most FPS games anyway.

You shouldn't be swayed by bias reviews from big site like IGN or G4. Look at the reviews of smaller sites where the reviewers actually understand that you should play the game as the developer intended (which in this case is after the day-one patch has been applied) before reigning in a verdict on it's quality.

G4 is the butt buddy of the MMO and/or the RPG genre. They will give any and all MMOs and RPGs 4-5 stars. Seeing as Brink isn't any of these things it doesn't surprise me. It isn't a reskinned CoD (the only shooter they like) like they, and IGN, were hoping it to be.
