I just installed the latest version of th G.E.C.K. and it will pop up the fade to gray and I get a error message instantly that says "The G.E.C.K. has stopped working" and closes me out . I use steam version 1.4 of the G.E.C.K. and its in the data file of the program file(86x)>steam>steam apps>common>F.N.V.>data. I don't know what to do and its really frustrating. PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you mean when you try to load stuff? If so; the geck isn't actually crashing, it does this to almost everyone. Just wait. It appears to freeze, but will begin functioning after about 2-5 minutes depending on your computer. You can then use it.

I just fixed it the files were in the wrong place they go in the Fallout New Vegas file not data thank you for your help but that wasn't it

Doh! :facepalm: My bad, I should have noticed you said Data and that that was the wrong place. I'm glad you fixed it, though.
