Nothing to do in fallout anymore. 14 of skyrim

Me neither, 100 hours in and still lots of map to explore and quests I just havent bothered with, like the silver shroud stuff. I also have not found every companion and traveled with them. I dunno what people want out of this title, 100 hours of gameplay and not even done with the main story and still having places to explore seems like darn good value to me.

No, you can't. Some quests require actual quest design and thought to resolve.

sure but every quest doesn't have to be like that, you apparently don't like going back to a location again, the thing about a bethesda game is you can do or "not do" whatever you want, if you don't want to do a radiant quest don't do it, but since todd howard says "player freedom and choice" is their top priority, they give the tools and options to do what you want in your game, you can play your game however you want, some people like going into areas and killing enemies, thats part of the fun, you can do just the complex type quests and leave it at that but for those who like to extend their gameplay playthru they're their to keep the world full of enemies and things to, i like leveling up pretty high before i even play a main quest in a bethesda game, i wouldn't do much of the main quest in skyrim until about level 50, up to level 50 i prob only do no more than 20 quests, and once i'm leveled up then i take on the main type quests, so i like having more basic filler type quests in order to help me level up and have things to do before i decide to do the bulk of the game, thats why their has to be radiant/repeatable type of quests for the people who like making their playthru last longer.

Grinding to get to the next level is not fun. And it's not a matter of extending the playthrough- once I figured out that all the settlement quests are essentially the same thing, it killed any desire to do any more of them. If you're going to have a location or quest line, write a story line for it or there's no point. This is not what I expect of a good game, and Bethesda doesn't get a pass. Witcher 3 showed it can be done.

Withcer 3 only has a handfull of quests that are not tied into main questline sure you can skip a lot of them but they are mostly revolving around main story, monster hunting contract(which are basicly all the same with diferent targets) and treasure hunt ones so i wudnt rly use Witcher 3 as an example quest wise cuz apart from the rly good main quest there was not much else inthere.

Now about comparison to Skyrim(and we are talking vanila Skyrim here right, no DLCs and mods since Fallout 4 doesnt have those jet) i am rly not seeing lack of things to do in Fallout 4 i am over 100 hours in and i havent rly done any of the main quest past arriving to Diamond city i did however do any sidequests i ve found around and while many of them are not on obvius locations(you can get em from letters found on bodies in the wasteland, from radio signals, after entering certain buildings and interacting/speaking to someone/something etc..) and i have so far cleared mybe about 60 locations(did not jet do any of them twice i do know later on radiant quests will take me to respawned locations sometimes but thats no different than Skyrim), so to sum up 100+ hours in at least 70% of the game left i wud def not call that less content than Skyrim.

There is some diferences though all major questilines are tied to factions which means tied to main story so after you chose a side and finish main story you wont have any non radiant long questlines left to do(hopefully DLCs and mods will take care of that), this being said though that doesnt mean you have nothing left to do after you finish the main story unless you explored thurally and did all the side missions already(however to do that i reckon it wud take at least 300 hours which in my opinion is rly good leinght of the game.

Also i dont know which dificuly did the OP play on, cuz ofcourse at lower ones you can simply blitz trough everything faster and i do think he did miss a ton of discoverable side quests/missions plus compared to Skyrim Fallout does have a higher empasis on exploring so if you leave out that and stick to locations you get sent to via main story you will miss on most of the game and on plenty of optional content.

yes, FO3 and FO:NV are far shorter than Skyrim and FO4 as base game.

Compared with TES Fallout 3 has far fewer quests but the quests usually has far more twists and multiple endings while Oblivion and Skyrim quests are linear.

Looks like Fallout 4 is more linear like TES, this might also be an artifact of the dialogue system
