After i defeat the small scarab like creature( has four legs and a laser in front.. red bulb weakness in back) nothing occurs. i tried to get into the vehicle where it says is the point of the mission to meet up with guys at the vehicles. i wait and go around and the guy i should meet with literally walks around and says yep.. its all clear. i tried running them all over and getting all tactical options and nothing happens to advance the line. tried driving vehicle into part where they came from... im semi frustrated.

Have you tried loading an earlier point in the game and/or replaying that mission?

ive tried dying and respawning and ive quit the game and reopened it to resume and same stuff. i tried again today with no change. its horrible

At that point i believe you're put automatically into the gunner's position and there is a guy that drives the vehicle for a few secs till the cut scene.
At the point directly after meeting that dude with his marine buddies, yeah that big crab that lets out a massive fart blast.

Yeah, you've got to get into the vehicle and will be a gunner sticking out the top... are you getting in the correct vehicle?

If it still does not work / go any further and you are stuck there. Try "loading an earlier spawn point", maybe even the beginning of the mission if you must.

Hmmm, "massive fart blast" eh? My girlfriend has those @ night when she's sleeping.
