Nothing Is Right! A Briken Joke Of A Game

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 12:56 am

Sure, this game has it's fair share of flaws. To me, as of right now, it feels unfinished. (That might not have been their intention, but it sure feels like they were trying to hit a deadline and not compete with the likes of MW3 and BF3 in a few months.)

The lag was bad, but it's gotten much better. The A.I. needs tweaking, but I've had moments where I honestly thought I was playing against a human, only to find out that it was actually a bot. Other things need tweaking as well, including body types, weapons and abilities.

The only glaring issues I'm having with this game at the moment is the way they've incorporated the multiplayer, the fracturing of the community and the lack of actual game modes.

But I don't think the developers want this game to go down into flames and they'll try their best to make things right. You can either be patient and wait for the improvements or you can sell the game as you intend to do and basically throw away your money.

They need to be more active in telling us what's going on and they also need to use the in game notifications system. Only a small majority of the community is going to come here and the majority are being left in the dark.

Anyways, that's just my two cents.

NO issues, i can play the game fine, only real issues is other players not having common sense, or any kinda tactical know-how. i don't crash or dc, don't have any graphics issues, lag rarely on multiplayer. can play all missions from start to end, completed all challenges. char creation/personalization works fine, weapons can be modded even tho some of them are a waste of space. All abilities do what they say.

as i said i have had no issues.

Regardless making a QQ post on the forum asking for your money back is funnier than a cripple at a vending machine, just don't play the game....problem solved.

thanks man, a voice of geniune reason, too little too late from SD (imo) but we all have our own view and we should repect each others too regardless - I am an annoyed customer - I knew they wouldn't reply but you never know - someone might mention this thread to them - that is afterall what forums are all about.

Nobody here can do that. Nor will Bethesda or SD.

Refunds are obtained from where ever you bought the game....unless you fancy spending ten times as much going the legal option.

This.

The game is what they said it was going to be. And before somebody decides to go off about the "stupid A.I.", they play better than the average human player seems to play.

the game is nothing like what they said it would be - 'polished' 'graphically stunning' "a revolution"

Well sorry, but my PS3 version is rather polished. It's of no lesser quality than other shooter games I've bought, and even seems to handle P2P better than most. It's still graphically stunning, one of those few games where I feel the need sometimes to just stop and admire the scenery. And IDK about you, but I've never played, or even SEEN a game, that goes about the genre in the exact same way.

Brink is less about "revolution" than it is about returning to the basics of the FPS genre. The only real revolution is the SMART system (and, no, it's nothing like climbing over obstacles in CoD) This throwback is seen in a lot of games nowadays; in fact the NEA (National Endowments for the Arts) has just added video games to there list of grant-supported art.

If you have a problem with graphics, please don't play on a console. We are long overdue for a new generation of consoles; the 360 is turning 6 in November. Developers are forced to tone down the graphics for console games.

the graphics are rubbish for console standards, regardless of the consoles age.

And you demonstrate the failure of your argument. You can't expect a refund because, in your opinion, the game doesn't look like what you thought it would look like based on buzz. Buzz words aren't promises, they're subjective views used for advertising, salesmanship. All the information was out there before the game it shelves, actual gameplay video was out there before the game hit shelves.

The game is shown on YouTube (along with many other sources) as being something completley different.
