Nothing should be weightless!

everything that you cant drop should be completely weightless, but everything else should have weight in "hardcoe"

normal mode is fine as it is.

Ammo weight made hardcoe mode annoying. I was carrying bare minimum ammo, and when I switched it off I lost almost 200 lbs of equipment.

200 lbs of ammo is what you consider as bare minimum? Are you roaming the Mojave with a whole batallion? oO

I usually carry 80 rounds of .223, 300 ECP for my RCW and about 200 MCP + 100 MCP Max charge for my AER14 and Gauss. That is more than sufficient

Agreed, I carry a large amount of ammo with my HC character that's still going. About 200 .308 rounds, 500 odd 12.7mm rounds and a good number of .45-70 rounds to boot. I am not at risk of running out soon and it doesn't take up that much weight, some weight yeah but not a terrible amount...I also have variations, AP and HP of most.

I'll save you guys the wall post and just sum this up quickly.

Having everything in the "Aid" column of your Pip-boy doesn't exactly make me think about looting. I have 80 freaking Stimpacks, and just as many chems, and I haven't gained a gram. A realistic weight for these would be about 0.25 and 0.75, respectively. Same with magazines, and so on and so forth. With all this available space for extras, I never feel like i'm going to run out of goodies. Doesn't support the "survival" aspect of this game in the slightest.

It seems strange how a lot of gamers complain about the lack of realism in weight in Fallout Games, but fail to see or overlook the realism in sheer bulk & size of the items you'd be carrying. I thought hardcoe mode contributed to chores rather than challenge.

Ah, realism, makes sense.
But, one problem, wouldn't a bag of 2000 caps be big as hell?
That's it!
I require a caps bag, the more caps you have the bigger it gets, if you have 50.000 caps then it'll fill up the screen.

That's what my reply was going to be. What about bulk? That's realistic, too.
If we're going to have weight for everything, let's see the Courier lugging it around as well. How big do you suppose a pack would be that held 5 or 6 guns, thousands of ammo rounds, a couple fridges full of food and magazines, 3 sets of armor, multiple quest items, etc, etc?
Try to outrun that Deathclaw now, buddy.

I play games for fun and the satisfaction of overcoming occasional frustration. Not for drawn out, grueling exercises in psuedo reality. Optional mods to give everything weight are perfectly fine, but I wouldn't use them.

Some things being weightless is more convenient, and the game is not supposed to be a simulator. But i cannot undestand why hardcoe mode makes ammo have weight, but not chems?

I know, it's weird. I use a mod that puts it in anyway however. :P

Its a game I don't feel the need for everything to have weight. Especially quest items since you are forced to keep them.

Yeah, I'm missing a "Remove curse" spell in FNV  Will I be forced to carry around Motor-Runners helmet until the earth stops turning? Probably yes

I would go one further and ask that Fallout 4 have http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Immobile, at least as an option. If there is no mod of it, someone please make it.

I hated that in Oblivion, so much that i now use a "Bag fo Holding" mod, so yes, i cheated myself infite inventory space

How about.. that 100 bottle caps is loud, and 200 caps is twice as loud, and have -5% to stealth per 100 caps. :chaos:

It means you just can't sneak around quietly while carrying 2000 bottle caps in a bag.

Well, that would mean that my sneaky character would be unplayable, as it is impossible to be poor in this game :hehe:

That's why you have a hovering cap vault.

There's always such thing as the 'wait here' command, mind you...
