I know a girl who looks almost exactly like Nova, it always amuses me when I see her. It's really uncanny.

Okay I'll bite.

Radiation makes men sterile. She is sleeping with men drinking irradiated booze...ergo, no pregnancy.

Furthermore, crude abortion methods have basically been as timeless as prostitution ("the oldest profession"). I'm sure there are ways to...terminate unwanted circumstances.

But then again, Nova could have a hostile fetus/ovary or whatever its called

I remember when I had to go get x-rays to check for _____ and the doctor gave me the underpants rag thingy to protect my "reproductive organs". Wait, you didn't need to know that.

Maybe she takes pills. I also heard from a mate that during the acient Egyptian times, prostitiutes pushed. . .ah, large rocks to kill the baby...but I doubt Nova would do that.

IUD would be the simplest form of contraception that would work in FO3 universe. Given Doc Church can sew on limbs that are hanging by a thread, I doubt that an IUD would be in anyway beyond the capacities of the Wasteland medical technology.

Sterility, either natural, or induced would be other options. Given we are talking about a highly irradiated post apocalyptica it wouldn't be the least bit surprising if she was naturally sterile, and the medical procedure to cause it would also seem to be totally possible.

Surgical supplies exist in game, so I think condems are also a possibility.

Those are just the first three most obvious possibilities, even short of abortions or orphaning, there are literally half-dozen more.

The real question I have is: why would anyone drink out of a post-apocalyptic urinal or toilet? That is just wrong :cryvaultboy:

They also used crocodile dung as a plug. As well as acting as a barrier, it is also a very powerful spermicide. Mother Nature gave humans lots of ways like that to avoid becoming pregnant. Who knows, the same might work with 'Lurk droppings?

But the way I see it, they can make radiation sickness vanish with just a pill or a shot. Long term birth control is a breeze compared to that.
