Now we cant deny separate armour pieces!

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 10:02 am

So... i bought the PSM magazine a day before they were ... misplaced... last night around 1 or 2 (this is UK time)... so we all have seen them by now and there is something is noticed, i was going to write it last night before my internet cut off on me and since it was 2 in the morning i decided to just go to bed instead of fixing it, so i hope im not too late to be the first to confirm this first, BUT, one of the pictures is of a man (Imperial i think, but with a beard and long black hair, didnt look tall enough to be a Nord) who has two white eyes, you may have seen it, but i noticed that he was wearing the exact same armour as our bald Nord friend in the screenshot released sometime this past week... BUT, he wasnt wearing the same pauldrons! And this confirms that we will have seperate armour pieces :D... now im possibly about to get a lot of flaming that it has already been noticed, but i havnt had any internet access since the screens were leaked, so... what do you guys think? I cant compare the two images because i cant show its a scan...

Based on what I'm seeing with the screenshots, the pauldron comes with the cuirass.

Did anyone seriously believe the single-piece armour thing...?

It's clearly a misunderstanding.

You see the screen of the dude with a beard with the weird thing on his shoulder, coming at you with a hammer? Totally looks like a separate pauldron.

Yep, based on what we can gather from the screenshots, you will be able to choose your pauldrons. Not 100% confirmed, but there ARE different pauldrons on those two screenshots and the same armor, so. Pretty much clears it up for me.

Of course, and I doubt this, but it's worth making this possibility clear: they're just variants of the same suit.

e.g. Suit A: Leather cuirass and leggings with chain pauldrons (for examples)

Suit B: Complete leather outfit.

Frankly, I think my above point is wrong, and I think that there will be individual armour pieces, but hey ho, I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

No, if you search the forum, you will find pics comparing the same armor with different "attachments" as it were, over a month BEFORE you even registered to the board. But we are happy to see you here now friend.

I guess we'll find out in the fan interview, that's something we can be sure of.

I want pauldrons! We'll never know until the game comes out. Or it's confirmed that we only have a few pieces.

Sorry, but that implies separate pauldrons, but doesn't "confirm" anything. That's an important distinction.

All that's been "confirmed" is that the system will not be identical to FO3's and that it will somehow involve "multiple" pieces. It's been strongly implied that we'll find out how the system works in the response to the fan interview, though even that hasn't been guaranteed. Pete simply made the point in his most recent tweet that the question had already been asked in the fan interview, which implies that the answer will be given in response to that question.

And that really is it. Anything beyond that, at this point, is just supposition.

So we wait...........

How is that possible? If it were then we wouldnt have people worried about a Fallout 3 armour system.
