Can you give us details? What did you try and when does it say this... The more detail you give us, the better we can help you.

How about you actually tell us what EXACTLY you are doing and have done? We can't help you if all you give are vague explanations that could mean a billion different things.

I know what he is asking. He means that when he is trying to update the fallout3.exe to a newer version it comes up as an error saying "Old File Not Found" Ok this could be many reasons on why it will not work. I will give a few answers on how to fix that and if they do not work please post a Detailed report on whats happening

1) Try re-installing fallout3 making sure you have it set to install at the default location being (im usuing windows 7) My default is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3 and straight after reinstalling run the patch.
2) Make sure you have the correct patch version for your region.

Let us know if these dont work and give us a detailed report like this

1) Type of game (Meaning bought from shop or online site like Stream etc)
2) Directory of game
3) Current game version
4) Exact fault message and when the fault occurs
5) And anything that you believe may not be normal that may help us to determine on how to best answer your question

Cheers

Yea my game did not properly patch and it started saying this, I think. (If I understand what he is saying...) Reinstalling Fallout 3 should fix your issue. Then you can repatch properly.

Its also possible the game that was downloaded from steam was already patched, so the patch will not work.
