4E 43 now what happens next?

I was reading the 4th Era time line in the Imperial library and then it got to 4E 43 with that floating city and then the time line just ends.

Does anybody know what happens next, or is that where the, rumored, new game is to start?

We're waiting on the second book.

Well, the "rumour" is that it's supposed to be 200 years after the Oblivion if I recall correctly. Of course that was just that, a rumour. It was a screenshot of a amazon preview of the infernal city I think. I sadly don't have a link to that image but someone here on the forums is bound to have it.

Note that this "rumour" is over a year old. Here's a http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/95699-Rumor-Next-Elder-Scrolls-Game-to-be-set-200-Years-After-Oblivion on the escapist magazine website from when it happened.

To complete the gossip. Skyrim has been trademarked. That's been a a years (or two?) ago already.

So whats is the duration of a development development cycle, 4-5 years?

It was three years ago, at least.

Here's the short version:

The novel gives some insight into the events between Oblivion (3E433/4E1) and the novels own current events (4E40s), however since it is a novel and not a game any information has to be plot-related, so we don't get as much as we would. The second novel according to the author has been " still in the editing stage anyway" since September 15th or before in an e-mail correspondence (he's a very nice guy to fans). So that means that the book is coming but nobody knows when or in't at liberty to say. We do know that, according to MK, the Dunmer and Solstheim Nords will reconcile their differences in peace at some point, but no specifics were given. So really, what's on the timeline is all we know.
