So, now what? Help, please!

Ok, I finished the game, or at least It looks like it, although it really doesn't...

I was following the "Wild Card: Change in Management" quest.
I already had the platinum chip and the last two things I was supposed to do was to talk to Yes Man and then kill or disable Mr. House.
So I talked to Yes Man and he told me about all the possibilities I had while in possesion of the platinum chip and bla bla bla...
Then I walked up Mr House's penthouse and told him I would not give the chip, the robots attack me, I kill everything and go to the control room where I spoke with Mr House in person, and end up killing him.
Then, all of a sudden a new quest pops up, called "The House Has Gone Bust!", and just a second after, it pops up again saying that this quest has failed.
Now, the "Wild Card: Change in Management" also showed up as completed, but in my quests tab it shows as active, although the steps to be completed appears faded out as if they were complete.
So I ask, is this it?
What about all that power that I was supposed to have, in possession of the chip?
What about the upcoming war between the NCR and the Legion?
What about the Dam?
Please, I'm really lost now! Any help will be much apreciated!

You are nowhere near finished. You completed Yes Man's objective to kill House, do you have another quest from Yes Man such as Side Bets where he asked you to do other stuff? Also go back and talk to Yes Man now that you completed one of the things he asked you to do. The quests that show up as failed are quests House could have given you, you failed them because he is now dead, that's supposed to happen when you take a side, it's impossible to do all quests in one playthrough.

Each of the major factions has a "You can't work with them anymore" quest that shows up near the end of the game. If you do certain things (like, if you commit fully to the cause of one of their enemies) that quest will be marked as "Failed". It means you can no longer do stuff for them, they don't like you anymore, etc. House's is just more obvious when you kill him. :)

Edit: Another example.... while working my way through Yes Man's quests, I had a new one pop up (Don't Tread On The Bear, maybe?) that basically said "Ok, if you go any further aiding their enemies, the NCR won't deal with you anymore." If at that point I continued with Yes Man stuff, the NCR quest would have been "failed".

Ok, I found out my way: I had to talk to Yes Man, and I found him in front of the Tops Casino. The problem was that I had no quest, no marker to follow.

There was two things to blame:

1) Myself: because I didn't look for Yes Man in front of the Tops Casino. And he was there indeed, and I was able to continue with the game.

2) The game itself: After the whole situation I discribed above, there was no quest to follow! No quest marker in the map to show me where I had to go or what I had to do! It's so a bug that when I finally talk to Yes Man and proceed with the dialog up to when I install him inside Mr' House mainframe, some quest's steps started to pop up saying it's just been completed, although they were not showing up before.

Anyway, now I'm able to proceed to the game grand finnale, as two new quests are now showing up:"Wild Card: Finishing Touches" and "You'll Know When it Happens".

Thanks for the help!

Ah bless! Don't play Morrowind then, no quest markers at all in that game. :D I hate them, for my next playthrough I'm finding a mod that removes them.

Thanks for the help!

No problem :)

I'm not saying that I love or need quests markers. The problem is that the whole time the game uses it. So, when I have no markers I assume that there is: 1) A bug; or 2) No active quests.

But, thanks anyway.

Just finished the game. Looks like I was somewhere near it when I made this thread yesterday...

Now I'm just sad that you're not allowed to continue playing after the end. I thought it was an open ended game like GTA for example... :-(
