I'm trying to change the clothing on an NPC. I added the different clothing to the inventory in the CS then removed the original clothing using Enchanted Editor thenrepaired saves and updated with Wrye. However, when I check in game, the NPC has no clothes on. :blush2: How do I go about making this work? Thanks for any help.

If you have the clothing ids, you can face the NPC, open up the console, click on them and then type additem "" 1 for each clothing item and press after each line. They should then equip the new clothing.

You're welcome. Unfortunately, NPCs don't always update in saved games.

I've noticed that. I have also found that using the additem in the console also doesn't work on some of the NPCs. I've tried removing the clothes they cureently have with Enchanted editor after doing the additem command but when I check to see if they have equipped the new clothing, they are still wearing the original. :shrug:

You could try the removeitem command in game: do the same process with additem, but use removeitem instead: RemoveItem "" 1. That should remove the item from their inventory and force them to equip whatever else they have in their inventory.
