NPC faction you most wish you could join

Pretty self-explanitory. Just wondering if I'm the only person who thinks that these groups had potential that Bethesda overlooked, or might make for interesting DLC's?

Bethesda overlooked a lot of things with this game but I really do like it a lot.

I COULDNT JOIN THE DAMN EAST EMPIRE COMPANY ARGH!!!!! Also the Vigilant of Stendarr sounds pretty neat. We could go off killing Daedra. Could someone please tell me what the Silver Hand is? I don't mind spoilers

As I've said many times, we can't join the Thalmor for the same reasons that we couldn't join the Sixth House and the Mythic Dawn. They're the bad guys. They want to destroy the world. The player character inevitably succeeds in the end, and we can't quite have the Thalmor winning.

I voted Silver Hands as #1. It would be an interesting alternative to the Companion quests. #2 I voted Foreswarn, which would be an interesting 3rd option to the (main) civil war quest.

I feel like the champion of cyrodill was the founder of the vigilant of stendar faction, given how many Daedra he killed.

Vigilant of Stendarr, the Silver Hands and the Forsworn could have made for interesting quest givers.

Not really Beth's thing though, best to let them hire a few guys from Ob

You forgot Necromancer clans & Forsworn. They're very important in The Reach.

As you monitor this thread, would you be willing to update your OP with the significant options that people explain would be their "Other?"

And maybe, if any of the "Other" options become common enough, or one of them them is too good not to mention, update the poll options to include them?

Thalmor.
No.
No.

If the developers won't do it, then let the moddings begin.

I would really like a good East Empire Company questline. Getting trade agreements, captaining your own ship, small areas of cities in other provinces... would make speechcraft much more worthwhile.

Voted Thalmor first, Forsaken second.

Btw this topic seems like an undercover Bethesda employee smelling the wind on their Skyrim DLC, just sayin'

I think the next DLC shouldn't even be set in Skyrim, that's just me though.

I wish there was more than one "choose a side" quest line. Like on NV

Cheers

Wouldn't be surprised is Stendarr shows up as a DLC down the road, seems a likely reason they even have a guild house.

A Vampire Clan - Lets make playing a vampire have some sort of actual payoff. Werewolves have the companions, why don't the vampires have anyone?

Vigilant of Stendarr - Because being part of a group that fights supernatural beings and their thralls is a fun option to have on the table. These guys easily trump the Silver Hand, since they fight a broad range of monsters that include the Silver Hand's one and only specialty.

who says the quest can't ultimately fail. say the final quest is to take of X stronghold and you get there and you're locked in by archers, or they're just to powerful. you're quest changes to retreat and the quest line finally ends with stand your ground, and thats how it ends. now i say this not knowing how much impact the thalmor have in the main quest as i haven't finished it. i agree with you about the mythic dawn though, i can't see how a quest could have been implemented in oblivion

back to the OP i would like to join the vigilants of stendarr. i sense a big lack of daedra in this game (maybe because oblivion had such a high amount). i want to go daedra hunting

obliterate thalmor
obliterate vampire
join stendar
join east empire (and own a boat, travel to other provinces)

and how could you forget

join the temple of dibella, receive instruction, dlc complete with brown cow brown chicken animation

anyway I feel the thalmor are part of the long term story in the next 8 province dlc

A vampire clan to make vampirism more interesting. And the other that I chose would be a Necromancer's guild since you see so many of various levels.
