Some quests in New Vegas which have quest dependent npc such as

You'll know when it happens: Ranger Grant

Cry me a river: Jerry


the npc's ai glitchs are stopping the quests from being played as the npcs have no speech!

however for some bizzare reason steam thinks fixing it through console (the only way to fix it) is cheating which gets on my and any other players who have the same problem's nerves

and the worst bit is that after fixing it NO ACHIEVEMENTS ARE ACHIEVEABLE FOR ANY QUEST

so warning to players who console to fix glitchs as steam will not allow unlocking achievements afterwards

finally a question to steam "please fix this!!!!!"

i have found a Fix

i have tryed everything but this has worked

by copying my steam apps folder and reinstalling steam the problem has stopped
thanks for the support

It only prevents them for that game session. If you have to fix something with the console, save exit and reload afterward and you'll get your achievements.

on mine its a permanete lockout
