NPC topics. Making it less cluttered.

I have set up an NPC called Estate Agent. He offers services of putting houses up for rent.

I have got it all working fine except I want his topic choices to be less cluttered.

Is there a way to remove things like Rumors after I choose a certain topic? Like a sub menu that has only the choices that are relevant to the topic chosen?

So it could be something like this...

1. Rumors, My rentals << (click My rentals)

2. Put house up for rent, Terminate a rental, Nevermind << (click Put house up for rent)

3. IC, Bruma, Anvil, Nevermind << (click IC)

See what I mean?

Certainly. On the 'My rentals' topic, right click in the choice box on the right, below the add topics box, choose the option 'add topic' and add the different choices (Put house up for rent, Terminate a rental, Nevermind ). This will force the player to choose one of the topics you added to the choice, while any other topics the NPC may have stay hidden.

Then at the 'put house up for rent' you can do the same with choices for the different cities.

Thanks.

But in the CS wiki is says not to use the Add Topic box as it's bugged, and should use AddTopic in the script box instead.

Should I worry about this or not?

Well here you're supposed to use the Choices box which is not the Add Topic box so that's fine. No bugs in there.

But yes the Add Topic box should be avoided, at least in Greetings. That's where the bug is. For other topics it's fine but it can't hurt to always use the script box just to be safe. :D
