NPC Voices No Sound Help!

Post » Sun Oct 31, 2010 11:30 pm

So I was attempting to install a few mods to my game and they ahd lots of other mod requirements, anyways installed them and now nobody in oblivion will VERBALLY talk, mouths move, words appear, no sound. My sound is up refreshed my Oblivion.ini and I've unchecked/uninstalled every one of those mods using OBMM,

Any proposed solutions?

ANY SUGGESTIONS ANYONE? I really dont have a clue on this one. I've unloaded every mod, uncompressed the Voices Bsa into the folder, and still no voices.

The actors mouths move as if they are trying to say something (lip sync there) but nothing. What could this bE?

Check under sound options in game that you didn't turn voice down

Happened to me

Elaborate eyes can't permanently change where your game looks for voice files. If it did, disabling it would fix it

lol all my sound bars are max, the last thing I did was try to install the (then understood to be partner mod) kendo mod. part of that was elaborate eyes.

Okay, since I've seen this thread a couple of days but nothing has come to mind what your cause could be.
A few ideas if you haven't tried them already:

1. If the elaborate eyes are the problem - Can a non EV version be the problem? As it affects races, and if it is a, e.g., German mod it changes race to use German voice files but the game runs in English so there are non to found.
2. Use bash tag "Voice-F" "Voice-M" or remove them from the eyes mod - otherwise I would say try marking Oblivion.esm (don't even know if you can tag a esm, hmm)
3. Download Diverse Voices and bash that :P
4. Use a program to redirect the bsa files - Like OBMM, re-date and re-direct the bsa files.
5. Make sure you got Oblivion - Voices1.bsa, Oblivion - Voices2.bsa and DLCShiveringIsles - Voices.bsa in your Data folder.

Cheers!
