NPCs (mobsmonsters) ignoring the player

Hi all,

Is it possible to put a magical effect on the player where enemies (I was thinking certain monsters on a list like bears/sabrects) will ignore the player while the effect is active? The player could just walk past them. Maybe it means adding the player to this faction temporarily in the script?

Furthermore (or if this is easier), is it possible to make it so *everyone* ignores the player and won't engage in combat? I certainly couldn't add the player to every faction, right? Maybe there's another way?

I assume this is similar to becoming ethereal, although I'd like to script it without the player appearing like a ghost / screen changing.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

dunPrisonFaction already achieves this for the vanilla game. Sadly Bethesda did not maintain those inter-faction relations for Dawnguard or Dragonborn so unless you're willing to make extensive changes to a ton of factions and faction-relations this gets trickier and trickier to accomplish.

Could you use a calm spell? What are your circumstances?
