I'm wondering where this info comes from? The trailer states that the action of the game was foretold to follow the opening of Oblivion... That doesn't sound like a 200 year gap to me. It seems likely to take place before the books.

I believe it said that it was foetold in the Elderscrolls. The info as I understand it was in the back of the Infernal City book. I ma be mistaken the exact source, but im sure somebody on this forum still has the link to the info.

Imagine the Nerevarine returning from Akavir as a major villain. He/she could be as twisted as the Tribunal by now (assuming he/she still lives). Keep in mind that his/her current place of residence is the land of dragons.

I wish to see the holy prophet of Bethesda M′aiq, for he tells us what we want to know, and also what was lost during the transition between games. He did in fact tell of two of Morrowind's biggest secrets, Boethia's shrine where one receives Goldbrand and the TMM. He also for-told of dragons. He should be in some remote cabin on the edge of the map, only accessible by cave, which the exit is through a secret door, and he should be wearing a Colovian Fur Helm and have a light blue robe.

Well, considering the books take place between IV and V there's kind of a large span of time there, so the human races would probably all be dead.

I'd like to see references to older characters and family lines, but I can't think of any characters that would feasably still be alive that i actually want to see.

Except Divayth Fyr maybe. Here's hoping he didn't die when Morrowind got bowled over.

I'm sorry, but are we sure of the timeframe?
It could very much be immediatley after Oblivion, or during the events of the Infernal City. I did not read the books, but from what I know of lore, the Infernal City does not reach Skyrim. It could very much just be an event happening at the same time, and we would hear of it from rumors and such. Perhaps it could even play a minor quest role. That is, if its that far after the events of Oblivion.
M'aiq is a must of course, and I wouldnt see why he wouldnt be in the game to make fun of the forums complaints.
Considering you are the Nerevarine in a way, I couldnt see him being in this, for you controlled who he/she was and looked like. Same goes for Sheograth, I suppose?
A dwemer of any kind please, I find them extremely interesting and would love to know why they dissapeared.

Sheogorath! There must be some way to get him into the game. Maybe as a statue based on the player's character's looks (seeing as the player is the madgod himself, kind of...) or something, but he has to be there!

And M'aiq, of course.

One of the Hero's from the previous games. Either his corpse or his actual physical form, all tho very very old.

That would make me feel like I am in just another story from "The Elder Scrolls".

Also M'aiq the Liar and the Naked Nords are a must.

I want to see M'aiq again. He is a easter egg so therefor he should not be constrained by 'reality' on Tamriel. He can live forever as far as I'm concerned.

And I want to at least see a book that was written by http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Bloodmoon:Athellor I really want to know more about his research into the Falmer and what he discovered after you helped him and he went to Skyrim.

M'Aiq the Liar
He's an immortal, he doesn't need to be constrained by reality

Caius Cosades. I loved that shirtless skooma junkie. Like others I would like Divayth Fyr to return.

If they don't include one of these two I want all NPCs to be named just Bandit, Marauder, Conjurer, Necromancer, Merchant, Citizen or Guard. (End sarcasm)

XXXXX Thelas, who will undoubtedly have some manner of rat problem.

At least one naked Nord.

And not so much wanting to see her specifically, but I'd like more characters like Falanu Hlaalu (The proprietor of All Things Alchemical in Skingrad), who have interesting and sometimes comical things to say, completely unrelated to any plots.

Finally, I could do without so-called "iconic" characters like M'Aiq and Adoring Fan (especially Adoring Fan!)... Some memes can be carried through, but TES need not amass them to the point of feeling contrived.

No idea why everyone wants to see old Divayth. I'd much rather see Alfe, Beyte, Delte, and Uupse again. Especially Beyte. :)

Npc's i'd like to see ? Hmm, Definately the Adoring Fan, maybe abit older and matured !

I want an elderly stupid looking wood elf who says, "By Azura, By Azura, By Azura. I used to follow the grand champion of the arena all over cyrodiil."

Also, a Cliffracer Queen.
