the sun flares draw ions that could come any day week or year they will shut off all electronics then the nuclear reactors cant cool down then they blow up. the sun hasnt had sun flares so there worried it could happen at any time now

I'd like to see your research. Post some evidence, since so far you haven't been very convincing.

Something tells me it has something to do with the number 2012, though...

This kind of stuff isn't far-fetched at all, actually. The nuclear reactor part I can't speak for, but the EMP-like solar flares are very possible.

Babe, serious, what are you saying here? We should all be running around panicking? There must be a million things that could kill us all tomorrow, you don't need to 'look up' anything to know that. Personally, I agree that it won't be our fault - our lovely ball of mud and sea is going to get pissed off eventually and we're going to pay for it in some way. It'll be entirely our own fault, but the damage has been done, there's no point going on about it.
That's what makes me laugh about all these green weirdbeards who ride around on steam powered bikes or whatever. Hay Gais, if we all junk our cars, the world's still going to end. Do yourself a favour and get a real form of transport.

@Pistol: Like it, brah, like it. XD

That has nothing to do with Nuclear Armageddon. Nuclear Armageddon will be when everyone on Earth lets their Nukes go and blow up the whole world. I don't see how the Sun's fluctuations has anything to do with the world international political affairs...

To any of you who don't want to read it, I'll summarise that page for you:

"One day we might all get a bit hot. This will cause problems with your phone that will make you feel quite upset. Eventually, you might break up with your partner. Sorry."

Yeah, no. Anything even sort of vital has been shielded against EM since the cold war. It's more likely that the operator of said power plant spontaneously combusts, and we all know how likely that is ;)
