Nudity in Skyrim?

Post » Mon Jun 20, 2011 6:18 pm

WELL I GUESS IM MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY INSANE THEN HUAHRHAHRHRH :teehee:

The mod told me to wait a day so that's precisely what I did

Yay for loopholes! But still, the other reasons for the mod locking it were that they had just locked a thread on the topic and you're not allowed to create a new one and that (they) believe there will be no nudity in Skyrim so it was "really a bit off topic" anyway.

Its not the fact that people can "mod" it into the game, but some people genuinely wonder if/how nudity could be used tastefully in a video game. Honestly, I dont mind dyrad/succubus sort of creatures being bare briasted, or certain cult members or barbarians being shirtless (male and female), or if there were some investigation quests here nvde dead bodies were involved (ala LA Noire), but I dont want a lot of nudity, if any at all in this game. I mean, it fits in a game like FO3 or NV where its a seedier setting, but if it were to be done in this game, I think it'd have to be tastefully done. Oh, I also just got into the discussion today about violence versus nudity when it comes to media... I have such a hard time when people say things like "I'm totally fine with my child playing this ultra violent video game, but when I found out there was one six scene I immediately took it away from him!". I... just dont get it lol

I'll guess. Apparently everything with nudity is perverted.
So, people admiring fine art from the 15 century are all 'perverts'

Yeah that's what I thought he implied as well, but apparently I "missed his point". Stop baiting him

Do I have to say it again? You're missing the point buddy.

Not unless Bethesda wants Skyrim to earn an advlt rating.

L.A. Noire had full frontal female nudity, it's rated M.
You don't have a point.

Im pretty sure every nudity topic has been locked by mods

If they do that i doubt they are going to put it in the game

I think this kind of logic is unwelcome in a nudity-thread.

There's already many threads about nudity on the Skyrim forums. I believe they've all been locked as well because Skyrim will not contain nudity.

Source to confirm this?

Vote on the question of nonsixual nudity. The way I see it, if the game is going to be rated M anyway, why not have it?
Do you think Skyrim will have nudity? Are you for it, or do you think any depictions of the human body uncovered would be inappropriate?

Murder, torture, mutilation, assault are all some of the most heinous crimes defined under the law, and often incur life imprisonment or death penalty in some states as punishment.

For illustrative purposes, please divert your attention to http://c1.feelgoodstyle.com/files/2009/02/800px-botticelli_venus.jpg

Please discuss in a gentlemanly manner or not at all.

Your spoiler comments should have been in the original post. Of course nudity is natural and no more harmful on a human than on a horse, generally speaking.

Violence, especially extreme violence, gore, torture, mutilation (all of which are present in Oblivion and Morrowind) are heinous beyond measuring, and are ALWAYS harmful by their very nature and intent.

Any morality which condones those horrors while shying away from or casting shame on nudity for any reason, including the ever spuoted and utterly foolish "but children may be watching" argument (p.s. you are proably damaging the children more by instilling a sense of shame in them towards the human body in general), is a corrupt pseudo morality. :brokencomputer:

P.S. I salute you on using Bottecelli's Birth of Venus as your contraban. Brilliant! :foodndrink:

That said, good luck with your cause. I fully expect your thread to be shut down any moment now. lol.

This will never fly in America. They'd add killing of children before they added nudity. especially genital nudity. Personally I happen to be a grown up and am not phased by nakedness.

with all due respect i like playing my games uninterrupted because my lil sister wanders into the room making me turn the game off until she leaves, or worse case scenario my mom walking through the door at a "inappropriate scene" flipping out and throughing the game out (RIP mafia 2)

As opposed to the completely appropriate scene of you breaking some fellows neck. . . or of a mostly naked, mutillated corpese hanging from the rafters?

The next time your mother flips out, ask her to explain to you why it is more acceptable for you to see someone being hacked to pieces than it is for you to see a glimpse of a naked butt. . . which you can do easily enough at any given moment just by going to the nearest mirror and mooning.

the only time would be relevant at all would be, say, if a group of bandits ambush a caravan, they would kill the men and try to take advantage of the women so maybe taking them back to a lair where the womens' clothes would be ripped as you go in and rescue them
or maybe a ruffian got too friendly with a barmaid while drunk and the aftermath is an eventual murder because he was drunk and she resisted, so you enter the inn and find guards trying to solve the crime

another idea is mild nudityon humanoid creatures like the gorgans had in the god of war series

I'd rather that nudity just be made available in mods. I'm still a minor (for another year) and my family would most certainly not appreciate there being naked women in the game. Added to the fact that my little sister watches me play a lot and nudity is a recipe for disaster.

To put it simply, adding nudity to the game would limit Skyrim's potential market. I started the Elder Scrolls back when I was twelve with Morrowind, but I'd never of had that opportunity if nudity had been included in the game. Just remember the reaction towards the topless woman in Oblivion's game files. Bethesda doesn't cater only to advlts, and it'd be fiscally (and socially) unwise to introduce nudity into the Elder Scrolls now when modders can so easily add it and save Bethesda from any bad rep that might otherwise accompany the utilization of nudity.

The uncut version of The Witcher was given an AO rating for similiar reasons. Better do your research.

This may actually be a falsehood. You see, contrary to popular belief. . .

Oblivion Contained Nudity, in unmoded Console form!

The bare buttocks of Imps were on full display, as well as buttocks plus on Spriggans and Flame Atronach Daedra. THen there was the strange rectangular Minotaur situation, which I am as uncomfortable talking about as I was seeing.

It's good you didn't start out with Daggerfall then, because it had sprite nudity. :teehee:

I personally don't want nudity in this game.
I don't think it adds much.
I have only experienced one game to date where nudity made sense, and that was L.A. Noire.

It simply makes me uncomfortable. Maybe I'm too young, maybe I'm not mature enough, but I personally don't like it when things like nudity are awkwardly thrust on me.

Yeah, I don't think it would really add a lot to the game. I can't really think of many instances where we would need to see complete nudity. I'm for going topless in some situatuion, but there's no real point in going further than that.
