Is that why? I mean Skyrim and Fallout 4 are both 18 games here. I don't really know why, I mean, I don't play games to see nudity, and some of those earlier games handled it in an incredibly juvenile way. But I just don't like feeling like the game has been sanitized.

So then, tell me why it's a bad idea? Tell me what the problem is with it.

Unnecessary is a meh argument

Perhaps. Nudity alone without any explicit context isn't really that traumatic. I mean, there's plenty paintings and sculptures that portray naked people and we don't seem to mind those.

So long as it's done tastefully and not in a leering or puerile manner, then I would say 'yes' to that, if it helps make the world more authentic without just being there for it's own sake.

Problem is nudity is banned in the mods too...

I think it should be allowed, it is in all the other great rpg games. The only and I mean ONLY reason it isn't in Beths games is because it's about money! Different countries have different rules on six and nudity and it's more cost effective to ban it across the board so different versions of the game aren't required. Cheaper to manufacture and less coding required.

There is no issue on moral grounds here. Murder, drug abuse, alcohol, slavery, torture and gore all feature in fallout BUT GOD FORBID WE SHOW A BIT OF nipble!

I voted no to this. It does nothing for the game, in what the game tries to accomplish. I don't mind nudity in games, if there is a reason. Also, I like the more subtle way of showing erotica / nudity in games. Where they aren't completely naked, but still no doubt, to what is hinted at. A good example on this, is the nightclubs in VtMB. While it suits a game like VtMB, I don't think it would do anything for Fallout.

I don't think it's a problem, just unnecessary as you don't seem to want to hear. Adding it just for the sake of adding it serves no useful purpose and would seem like a bit of addition that you more than likely would never see in the real world. If you are talking nudity in strip clubs or bordellos or some old crazy ladies home I can see it but just for the sake of having nvde npcs seems a bit....yeah...unnecessary.

And after 30 years of being a nurse and seeing naked people every single day, a bit annoying as well. I mean, it all sounds good when you are young and thinking of seeing nice young perfect bodies but the world is just chock full of various stages of not so pretty and hard to look at bodies. Why would you want that in your games?

A brief glance at several mod sites shows that is not the case.

Yes, but it shouldn't be "in your face - look here's some nudity". It should be present because the aftermath of a thermonuclear war is a [censored], dirty, messed up world, that has have some [censored] up [censored] in it. Including nudity in some places.

However this is, as some has pointed out, Fallout "themepark light".

To put it mildly :lmao:

There's everything out there you can imagine, a lot you can't, and some things that make you hope brain bleach really did exist :lmao:

Already Bethesda can't satisfy everybody with what they've included in the game. Throwing nudity into the mix would make things so much worse. To each person, there would be too much or too little being shown and since everybody would have to be able to be nvde, NOBODY would be happy. Seriously, where would it begin and end? Would we have nvde ghouls? If not, why not? What about super mutants? Or synths? What about hetero folks who only want to see the opposite six nvde? Does age have a bearing?

Adding nudity would be terrible because it wouldn't satisfy anybody.

I actually would want exactly that in my game. It's more believable. It's not pretty, and a world called "FALLOUT" shouldn't be.

Being shocking for the sake of being shocking is stupid. Showing nudity on strung up corpses (because you seriously think the devs would stop there?) is really just going to be desensitizing. It wouldn't do anything for most players (due to the fourth wall), and those who were initially shocked by it would become desensitized to it rather quickly.

The massive problem with it is the moral side to this. because if this game let me strip a characters dead body naked and then parade it around. then that would be massivly immoral and the ESRB would not allow this game to even be released to the public. and if it did it would only be avaible in a select few countries and thats why nudity is unecessary.

so bc everything is [censored] up, ppl should be naked?????

I mean really adding nudity just to see sixy bodies nake, aka Witcher 3 where even the nvde monster are make to look sixy (only the 4 witchs arent), add 0 extra to a game.

You know what I give up it really all boils down to a matter of perspective on this kind of matter, some people want it some people don't and some just don't give a [censored].

No I pretty much said the opposite. I said it should not "in your face". Nudity should exists because, well, because it exists. I think it's extremely odd that there are no strip-clubs with at least semi-nvde models in them. I have that in my town *today* - I sure as hell would expect to see people taken advantage of in the Fallout universe. Slaver factions, forced prostitution, etc, is part of the lore and previous installations. I can absolutely understand why it's been cut for this release. It's very kid-friendly. However, to take just one overly simplified example, Game of Thrones wouldn't hold the same sway if it didn't include all the seedy parts of a rotten society.

I don't find nudity particularly shocking, with the result that I'm not offended by it. To say that there are bodies out there that are not exactly thrilling, is an understatement. The fact is though that you can go to any beach on any sunny summer day and see those bodies endlessly displayed in various stages of nudity and near-nudity. If you've visited a beach or swimming pool and ever seen anyone who looks like Rodney Dangerfield or Rosie O'Donnell in a thong you know what I mean. In the game, dead Raiders and such are so nasty and dirty that I think it would be hard to look on them as sixy nvde or otherwise, and I'm not sure it matters if they are young or old, fat or thin.

The truth is simply that if you've ever seen one instance of male and female genitalia they are basically all the same. I don't know about you, but when I go swimming, I always wear a full set of metal armor... Eh, or not, if I don't want to drown... For me, I somehow don't really see my post apocalyptic character carrying around a swim suit for those times when underwater exploration is called for, so I see casual nudity as natural. I personally think that clothing and armor designed to be revealing but not explicit is far more interesting and exciting than some dirty headless raider chic splattered on a wall.

Frankly though, I like that we can choose to install mods that give us options in this regard. Nobody should be forced to see things that offend or upset them in a medium designed to entertain. I guess I rather like things the way they are for PC users with nudity as an option if it's wanted.

It was a different time. The 90's were all about that sort of thing. Big guns, boobs, rocket launchers, backward hats and skateboards. And Rob Liefeld.

If a society has massive problems with a naked body, but no problems at all with a perk that lets bodies explode into a shower of gore and viscera, then that society is sick to the core.

A brief look at gamesass official press release says otherwise as far as legally supported mods go. Unsupported mods on PC only platform maybe but they will not be universal across platforms.
