Nuka-Cola

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:43 pm

Honestly, sometimes I wonder, what does Nuka-Cola taste like? Coke? Dr. Pepper? A mix of both? Now I have a craving for it.

Yep, and 200 years worth of fermenting. I'd like a more, well, fresh bottle. Still got that craving, though.

Passion Fruit originally, but the Great Passion Fruit Famine forced Nuka Cola to have it's flavor changed.

This answer is so odd ball yet posted in such a dead pan way I would include it into canon if I were the writers. The feel of the post just seems to fit the FO humour.

That's because it is true, the Great Passion Fruit Famine is a real canon event in Fallout history.

Yup, the passion fruit famine was right up there with the great plauge, truly a dark time in the Fallout timeline.

it's a bit nicer than the competing brand, Puka-Cola, according to some people.. Even though there was a big ad campaign to tell you one was the "real thing" and the other was a lesser drink, the majority of people couldn't really tell the difference between the two.

I suppose it would taste similar to regular coke, with some subtle differences, just like you have between brands today. I doubt I'll ever order a nuka coke though, but I usually drink orange coke anyway.

After beating the main quest, I spent my next playthrough looking for Nuka-Cola. At one point I had over 60 bottles and hid them in a safe I got from a mod that had a hideout under Springvale. Now I have about 42.

Like warm flat root beer, but with twice the sugar and minus the hint of ginger.

Then just walk outside, IT'S EVERYWHERE!

EVERYWHERE! :cryvaultboy:

But to add to the topic, I remember in F3 (my F1 and 2 knowledge is not up to par) saying that it was like a combination of a lot of fruit flavors and included pomegranate at some point. Wasn't there also cherry nuka-cola at some point in Fallout? I suppose the easy guess is to say it tastes like coca-coca which I think is accurate but I imagine it tasting similar to coke but with a fruity twist.
